Hi,
I have had my period since I was 11 y/o. I am 26 now and growing up I always had irregular periods. I would get it on a mothly basis and other times I would skip a month or get it twice in a month. Now, my husband and I have been trying to have a baby for 6 years. For the last maybe 2-3 years I get my period monthly put my cycles were sometimes long and sometimes shorter. For the last 1 or so I get my period now about the same every month but mds are not sure if I ovulate and if I do they are not sure that it happens every month. I'm suppose to start a new medication called clomid which helps you ovulate. Maybe Clomid is something you can discuss with your md.
There are ovulation trackers to help in telling you if you are ovulating or not. My suggestion is to see your DR. she/he can better tell you what is going on. Probably not the answer you want. but everyone's body is different. There may be other reason's you are not able to concieve. Most of us here didn't realize we couldn't concieve naturally after years of trying.
Ovulation is what triggers your period, so not likely, it would be very rare. I thought I had that problem too, after 5 yrs with no luck, and my cycle is clock work, but it wasn't the case. There were other issues involved. Has he had a sperm analysis, that is the first, quickest step in finding a solution! Good Luck
