THANK YOU..YOUR SUPPORT WAS HELPFUL...WE USED THE FROZEN ON MAY 5 2008 AND...ON MAY 16...BFP!!!! WE ARE THRILLED!!! TODAY OUR BETA CAME BACK 1983....I AM NOT SURE WHAT THAT MEANS BUT IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE GOOD!
Hi
in some clinics the success rates for FET are higher than with a fresh cycle & its supposed to be a lot less stressful on your body as your not taking as many drugs good luck & stay positive
hugs & SSBD your way xxxx
Yeah alot easier, mine you I'm in Australia, so there process is taking progesterone tablets to thicken up the lining in the uterus and then depositries when the eggs are returned inside you twice a day! I reckon it is alot less stressful.
i have had success with FET
last time it worked for me put two back and had twins
I have also had FET not work
a good clinic good protocol and good RE
I've been told that FET can work just as well as fresh but as has already been said, I believe the critical factor is the quality of the embryos when they were frozen as lower quality ones will likely not thaw well. So long as they thaw well then it's just as if you were going with a fresh cycle really.
Best of luck to you.
THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT. SO, CRITTER8 YOU ARE SAYING THAT THE MEDS ARE EASIER THE SECOND TIME AROUND? I READ ANOTHER POST WHERE A WOMAN HAD THREE SONS VIA FROZEN, SO THAT'S HOPEFUL. I'D LIKE TO KNOW WHAT LYNEMBRYO SAYS TOO.
Just wanted to let you know that your not alone, we just had a failed freash cycle, and now wanted to go use our frozen eggs. Doc said had to wait for a period before we decided to start and when that arrives, the timing isn't going to be good as doc away and so have to wait till July to use them. I posted the same question to LynEmbryo's, so hopefully she will give us the answers we need. I have done a frozen cycle before and resulted in a miscarriage, I think the odds are good, as long as the thaw well and grow into blastcysts (which is what they want them to do). If you want to talk or ask questions, i will be happy to help. Also wanted to mention the medication and process is alot less stressful and easier.
I am so sorry about the negative. I know how devastating that is. My heart goes out to you and your family.
I think that success of FET depends on the quality of embryos. There is an embryologist on the forum, LvnEmbryos, and she can answer your question better than anyone else. I hope that your next attempt is a success!!
