SOME INFO FOR THE LADIES DOING IVF

Hello all! I'm new here but I see that some of you are trying IVF. I have not undergone that but some of the following info may be useful to you:

I started seeing an acupuncturist for fertility and she said that it has very good outcomes. If doing IVF, acupuncture can increase the FIRST time success rate by 50%. To me, that's a huge number especially how long some of us have been waiting. One thing acupuncture is very useful for is increasing the blood flow to the pelvic cavity, which is an obvious must. Also, when done on a regular basis during the first trimester, it decreases the chance of miscarriage. There are just many benefits, too many to list but I think it's worth checking out! Hoped this helped someone!

hcg went up to 9 on Thursday (9dpt)...have to retest on Saturday to make sure it is still rising.
Today, I am hoping, is a good sign ...my breasts hurt like you wouldn't believe!  
So, I can either credit our success to the accupuncture or the baby aspirin a day, or a little bit of both :-)

HCG (beta) is at 3, but only 12dpo...have to go back tomorrow and thursday

I did accupuncture twice a week for about 6 months starting last May until October and once a week starting in October until now.  I have done 2 fresh and 2 frozen cycles since starting acupuncture and unfortunately it hasn't helped yet-still waiting results of second frozen cycle.

alaskacouple:Oh my goodness!!!   thats so exciting!!!   how many days since transfer has it been?? I guess the way i am looking at it is, well as long as the accupuncturist knows what they are doing it can't hurt rgith? and i'd do just about anythign at this point to get some good news! so I might look into it then!! I went to an acupuncturist that was recommened by my ER. I went twice a week up until the day of blastocysts transfer.  My body would tense up the first 10 minutes or so at the beginning, and I didn't want the uterus to constrict after the transfer, so I didn't go after that day.  But, my uterine lining was thicker than before, and my follicles were awesome, 17 with 13 eggs, 10 fertilized, 4 went on to blastocysts on time, two transferred... I had to have my progesteron and estrogen levels checked today, so my er snuck in a beta to see..... :-)  will know more in about 3 hours....

Hello ladies, these are just 2 that I found useful. The summit acupuncture one is the one I go to. Try googling acupuncture and fertility or something of the sort. There are many websites out there. If you choose to do acupuncture, be sure to choose one who is obviously licensed! I go tomorrow for my repeat beta - yesterday was an 11 so they wouldn't confirm a pregnancy. Praying and keeping my fingers crossed!!!!

this is our third time at ivf, and this time I did accupuncture and a baby aspirin a day (starting after egg retrieval on the aspirin - didn't want ovaries to bleed at retrieval). My beta is Thursday, so I will let you know what happens....

Thanks! has anyone done this with IVF and had success or not had success?? also anyone have links to studies that show this?? We will be starting the IVF process in a bit and i'm wandering if we should do accupuncture as well ( i really dont 'have the time nor do i want to spend the money unless it really might help!) thanks!
