Hay ya hun

I no how you feel, my partner has low sperm count.
volume 4.1ml (THEY WANT TO SEE ATLEST 6ML)
rapid 25% (THEY ARE HAPPY WITH THAT BUT WOULD LIKE TO SEE A BIT MORE)
nonprogressive 0% (i guess thats good????)
normal forms ae only 3%

so yea it's a stressful time but i can tell you what we have been told. I live in New Zealand and the Dr has sent us off to the this sperm test that shows up everything, you should look at geting your partner to see your Dr and get it done. Also i takes 90 for sperm to develop so he may have had a **** sperm test but if you put him on muitivits for 90days it may help with the sperm.......just this it wat me and my partner are doing  good luck hun and i no what your going though xxx

Hey there, I have found that different tests are measured differently. I would call your Dr and ask what they recommend. My dh SA was 15 mil/mil and they told me 20 is normal, Motil was 60% and above 50% is normal, Morph is 22% and they said normal is 50%. I was told to bd every other night and also for him to take Fertilaid. He has been on it a month now and we are trying IUI this month. My dr said with these results (I also have endometriosis) that she normally would send us straight to IVF but I have a ds already and a mc so we know that it is possible.

After realizing low sperm count, we decided to do BD only every other day, but taking in consideration about sperm quality, are these sperms even reaching the egg? Are these sperm staying alive for 1 whole day?  I am totally confused what to do and what not to do?
Bad quality sperms can also stay inside for long?
Please Help

Hi All,
We really want to try natural way to get pregnant. Are there any over the counter multivitamins or fertility drug for men which anybody is using?
I have heard about fertile aid and fertile blend and those kind of vitamins..has anyone tried those? Are there any side effects for the same?
We have our doctors appointment later this month, lets see.
This situation is very stressful, moreover when everyone else surrounding you is pregnant or having a baby.
Thanks All
TO:  brandiw13---- did you guys do natural way right or went for some treatment?
Thanks once again.

I think different labs have different testing and different ways of what they consider "normal". I don't remember my husband's exact numbers, but they were REALLY low on all levels (motility was basically at 0%, 95% were abnormal forms, and his count was somewhere in the 250,000 range). We tried medication on him for about 6-9 months with no improvement, so we went to a fertility doctor and were told that our best option was IVF w/ ICSI (mainly due to motility issues). But, look on the bright side...my doctor told me that all it takes is one good sperm (because I was really upset with numbers and was being a huge downer and thinking negatively) to inject in the egg!

And if it's any indication of male factor success stories...i'm 19 wks pregnant w/ twins thanks to ICSI.

sperm count is low.......lower normal cut off value is around 40million/ml
normal morphology is low..usually must be 70%
total motility is good
rapid motility is reduced...
overall i can comment that semen volume is normal with fair motility but low count...ur DH needs medication...and i can say that with this condition u can go for iui or ivf...good luck

i said iui... i meant ivf with icsi... where they take a good sperm and inject it into an egg.

some laboratories have a different cut offs/numbers.  'generally' though, they want to see
70% with normal shape (your husband has only 13%).  sperm count is at the range of at least 2mil/ml, normal motility is about 60% and ph is about 8.0... so your husband's is good in this arena.
in my opinion, the morphology is what is questionable.  he has 80% abnormal morphology.  of course, there are exceptions and men with this number can still father a child the natural way but may take a while.  sperm with questionable analysis is best recommended for iui... where the lab takes a good looking sperm and inject that directly into the egg.  nothing is left up to chances as if you would try to get pg the natural way.
i hope this helps.  i'd discuss this with you doctor so you get a professional opinion.
good luck!
