Chances are you're fine. People have sex all the time before they even know they are pregnant. However, personally, I would probably wait for a while before having intercourse again. My RE said no sex for while....can't remember exactly how long...but we didn't have intercourse for several weeks after the IVF...just in case. Not sure if that helped or not, but I just didn't want to take a chance (I had two miscarriages before my successful IVF 2 years ago). Best of luck with everything!
Thanks for your reply heather, Im finding conflicting stories really a study by oxford university advises sex as your immune system attacks the sperm instead of the embryo and that of a study they did out of 410 ivf cycles half abstained and half had sex and the half that had sex there was a higher pregnancy rate, but then iv also found some studys that say its not safe before you see a hb, I said exactly the same as you that if we conceived naturally i wouldnt even be late for AF yet so wouldnt have an idea therefor would just carry on as normal, I guess we will wait a while now just to be on the safe side!
Thanks again.
