Sex after iui

So I have heard that some people's docs are telling them to have sex for up to a week after iui procedure. My hubby refuses to because he thinks it'll screw it up and he will do it only if our doc says so, problem is our doc never tells us ANYTHING and we had it done 2 days ago and now it's the weekend so by the time I get to talk tO the doc it'll be to late. Anyone got any answers?????

Yes my doc asked us to have intercourse after iui.

Yes, my doc said to do it that day and the following day.
