Shishka & other IVFers update/open forum

Well i had my ER yesterday. They got 9 good eggs. There were more follicles than that but they didn't have eggs in them. So i guess 9 is good. We did ICSI on all of them just to increase chances of fertilization.  Now i am just being tortured by waiting for my RE to call today and tell me how fertilization went. I am alittle sore from the procedure.  And now today i will start progesterone injections along with medrol (a steroid so body doesn't reject embryos), doxycycline, baby aspirin, and then after the transfer i will also be on estrogen patches.  So how is everyone else doing??? Shishka do you know when your ER is yet?? Baby dust to all.

Hello. My ER is on Tuesday. I finished all my shots yesterday. I will also be taking Medrol, but me and my DH took Doxy for 10 days on the begining of the cycle. Keep me posted. Good luck

Well the embryologist called and out of the 9 eggs, 7 were mature and able to be fertilized. All 7 fertilized. . . she will call and update me tomorrow. And my transfer is scheduled for Wednesday at 9 am. . :) Nervous and excited. Good luck tomorrow with the ER!

Are you taking baby asprin? I took it before I started my shots and stopped few days ago. I am just wondering if I need to start again after ER.

yeah it looks like we are going to do a 3 day transfer. My RE said he is kind of doing that more now than the 5 day because he feels the embryos are better off in our body. . . So that's what we are planning on.  If they look super duper excellent on day three they would consider possibly going to day 5. But I'm ok either way, just want a baby. :)

Yes, I am taking one baby aspirin a day. I just started after ER.  I think my RE has everyone on it after RE to help with blood flow to uterus.  I will stay on it until he tells me to stop, I think sometime after I find out if pregnant or not.
