Should I increase Clomid dosage to 100mg ?

I had two MCs so far.The first one was due to bad egg and it was a natural pregnancy. It was very ahrd on me since I did not kow anything about this stuff....

One year later,I got pregnant with the first cycle of Clomid (50 mg),but I MCed at week 11...

Now I'm getting ready for the second cycle of Clomid...According to my OB I don't have any issue and should keep trying .....

Now,since my MCs were due to bad egg ,I need to know whether or not I should increase Clomid dosage to 100 so I could produce healtier eggs..I mean  is it how it work..If I increase the dosage, can I somehow produce a healthier egg.My OB says 50 mg is fine ,but I feel that she is taking too easy and slow..Im already 36 and had two MC...I don't want more MCs....

I know that how dosage comes with little more risk such as less CM,thinner endo.s etc......

What should I do..should I increase it for the sake of producing healthier egg or should I stick to 50 mg...

Thnx

I don't think clomid produces good eggs per se but it could make you produce multiple eggs thus giving you a better chance of conceiving. For example if you produce 4 eggs on clomid, odds are that one of those eggs ate healthy as opposed to just ovulating one egg that may or may not be healthy. Does that make sense? I would stay with the lower dose of you are responding  well to it. I was on clomid last cycle for my iui and it made my lining thin and have a cyst although I did produce 4 nice size eggs. My iui didn't work.

my OB said, patalogy was normal for week 11 MC..but genetic testing is still in pending.....

yes i did respond to 50 mg ,O'ed and got pregnant...I was just hoping to produce better egss by increasing the dosage...

i wouldn't want any of the side affects of course..i'm tired of MCs..

I guess I should just stick to the 50 mg and keep trying...

thnx for the answer...

I am very sorry about your losses. I have also had 2 mc. Did they find a cause for the week 11 mc? I am not sure what you mean by bad egg. If it was chromosomal then a higher dose of clomid would not have an effect on that.

I am not a Dr., but from what I understand, clomid is not a drug where a higher dose necessarily has a better effect. Some women need a higher dose to respond, but if your body already responds to a lower dose, then a higher dose will not necessarily improve your response. I just did my 1st round of clomid 50 mg and had side effects of thin lining plus ovarian cysts, meaning BFN plus having to wait until the cysts resolve before I can have any more treatment. Very frustrating, so I would definitely avoid increasing the risk of those side effects if you can.
