Morning ladies! I am now on official winter break from school! I am in dire need of this rest, let me tell you. My brain is done thinking for the time being.

We have about a half a foot of snow here in Vermont and it is beautiful. I am so happy that you got some as well Amberlee!

I went back to look at my very first post here on Medhelp and realized that Helen and Miky have been with me since the beginning, I thought that was pretty cool.

So we are doing our christmas shopping this weekend and we have 15 people to buy for and $200 to do it with...keep in mind our brakes are about to go and I would rather fix them, but DH is adament that they will last for 2 more weeks until the next paycheck.   As for the people we have to get gifts for, fortunately the adults all like beer so seeing DH gets free beer from work we will be handing out special holiday brews to the adults and the kids are all getting toys that are 10-15 bucks. They get so much anyway that I don't feel overly bad about it. Besides we are putting thought into the gifts.

Well that was my holiday gripe of the day, now I am off to find my my missing address book so I can send out cards.

Morning ladies!!

We are on course for up to 6 inches of snow today...to hit during rush hour! Yippie (said with NO enthusiasm)...I work about 25 miles from home and am not looking forward to driving at a snails pace!!

Kele - Trust me it can be done!! If you are really in a money crunh, do like my Uncle did..he bought a box of cards and purchased scratch off lottery tickets for everyone (ranging from $5 - $10 worth)...Also, for the kiddies, McDonalds gift checks or Wendy's...I did that one year and it went over well...The day after Christmas, my cousin took my smaller cousins ranging in age from 2yrs-14yrs to Navy Pier, we have this huge winter wonderland fest there during this season, afterwards, she took them to McDonalds...no money out of her pockets!!

Jenea` - I hope AF is as gentle as a little lamb...no need in her being a witch..after all..tis the season to be jolly!

ive only been here in vegas for a little over 4 years, i was born and raised in southern california, riverside and orange county, imma beach girl. the only times i have ever seen snow has been here in vegas. it has snowed one day a year and not measurable for the last 5 years but NOTHING nea this in over 30 years. the last time it id anything comparable to this was 1979. and what was even more bizarre, it has never snowed during December, always january. it snowed twice this week!! i have a bunch more pictures but jason hasnt sent them all to me yet.

i know Aidyn is behind it!! they barely started talking about it the end of last week, it came from no where!! and they said there might be one more coming through!!

No snow angels, we dont have the proper clothing and would have been FREEZING, no snow stuck to the ground at our house and it snowed hard here but we went a little ways away, few minutes further then Aidyn and it was just white everywhere!!

it was really nice, seeing the snow and you couldnt help but smile!! the memorial park was beautiful!!! i wish it snowed like this more often!!

I am reading your posts regarding the snow and thought to myself.....heck, I had to turn the airconditioner on in my office and house the last few days as the temp has been pretty high, actually up to 79 - 81 today....can you imagine......aircondition in December?

Hoping...I can really relate to the migraines...they hit me like a ton pf bricks when af arrive and when af leaves.....it is horrible. I would not wish that feeling on anyone.
I hope you are feeling better soon.

Morning ladies! Chris and I were totally surprised yesterday by a huge box that was delivered to us. What was in it you ask? The crib bedding that we have been lusting over for the past 3 months. My Dad sent it and it is a perfect match to the nursery.  ^_^
I posted pics of it so go take a look.  I love how the room is turning out. We just want to find a different area rug and then we are calling it more or less done.

I think we need an update as to where everyone is...so if you all want to post here or PM me I will put together a list so we can look all official and stuff.

Well, we did the drive and transferred all 4 embryos. I will post a photo of them later this evening.
My doc thinks there may have been something wrong with the "medium" that they grow the m's in as this is the worst our 'babies' have ever done.

DID YOU KNOW.... the reason RE's do day 3 transfer or day 5 transfer is that on day 3 they have to change the medium the embryos are growing in!  If the embryos aren't 'doing well' the docs are afraid the embryo's won't survive the replacement, and would rather get them "in the oven" so to speak....

we are officially in the tww.... beta is scheduled for 12-29

Nothing new to report here. Just waiting around praying for all of you. I am CD2, not that it matters much. I have given up on trying naturaly. I have my test next month and then hopefuly will start my FET in Feb. But to keep myself saine I am just mostly focusing on adoption. This way if my FET does not work or does not happen I will be ready to move on.

Glad to see everything went well. Funny how time goes by so fast. Not 2 months ago we were going through the same grief. We have now mover forward with hope's and dreams of this being our time. AFM-I am exhausted. The shower was awesome and we recieved so many thoughtful gifts for Phin. The one that sticks out the most is a baby quilt from one of our friends and her 16 year old daughter. The quilt was our friends as a baby and then her daughters and they passed it along to us. I told Elizabeth that when she has a baby that the quilt will go back to her, I feel that is only right. Everyone had a blast and Chris and I loved celebrating with our friends..
Yesterday we did our christmas shopping, all of it plus lunch in 4 hours. Yep you are right if you say at 30 weeks along that I overdid it. I started having Braxton-Hicks contractions and had about 5 of them in a half hour....*eeesh* They stopped me in my tracks, so we went to lunch so I could just sit and be still. I downed a bunch of water and they came to a stop and we then went straight home. They didn't come back so I guess my lesson is learned. I have an appointment tomorrow so I will mention that to the dr.

T - YAHOO!!!!  12/30 is not too early to test if they transferred blasts. Blasts are 5 days, beta is 9 days from transfer day, that gives you 14 DPO.  You test one day after me!

nope, no more snow here! there is another storm coming in for Christmas but they are saying just rain. its getting windy right now and its a FREEZING wind!! even if it does snow here for Christmas, we are leaving for California again tomorrow night and coming home Christmas night! there is still some snow that hasnt melted down in Henderson (far south and south east Vegas) its so pretty!!

T - my re does it weird, empty bladder on transfer, and because my uterus is tilted up and to the right, so after the transfer, I have to turn over onto my belly and lay there for 30 minutes.
My truck is an expedition, so we lay down the back seats, and I have a queen size bed back there. We throw my favorite blankets and pillows back there and I get to lay on my belly for an additional 3 hours for the drive home :-))

Amberlee - have a great time in CA!!! Wish I could go somewhere warmer..  :-(( Drive safe and watch out for the idiots on the road!

My RE lets me lay down for about 5 minutes too. She wants me to have a "comfortably" full bladder. Whatever that means. I have a weak bladder, probably going to be on Depends by the time I turn 40, who has ever heard of a comfortably full bladder. She lets me go straight to the bathroom after I get up if needed. Both times i needed it. I'm assuming once their in there, their in their. 12/30 is not too early to test. I got my BFP 5 days before my blood work. No worries, you will be great this time. We both get our blessing this year. Stay on the couch.
Sorry about the weather. We finally got snow down here in Houston. Not your snow, but our snow. just enough for a 2 ft snowman. Then the next day it was 75. only in Texas. It was still cold, though. I know, I know, this is "wimp" weather.

Is it a symptom of pregnancy or side effect .....

* headaches - I have now had a headache every morning for the past 3 days! I got rid of it last night (Christmas day) after taking 8 tylenol over the course of 18 hours.....

* backache - I have a new symptom today, never had backaches with prior ivf's (but is it a symptom or a side effect from sleeping in too late?)

* runny nose - I have had a runny nose now for the last two days, BUT girls at work have been sick......

* fatigue - could it really be a symptom of PG, or another evil trick because of my new work schedule and having get up at 3:30am (I am usually in bed by 9pm).....

* cramping - bean(s) implanting {still?} or signs of AF arrival in 5 days......

* nausea - symptom of PG or side effect of PIO?????

Here is a link to the story about what my Aunt Dawne is going through. She lost her husband this past year after a 10 yr battle w/ what turned out to be cancer. The Drs realy couldn't diagnose him until the end because of everything else in his body. Anyway, it makes me so angry. If you look at the pics she's the one w/ long Red hair. She said a state rep came to see her a week ago and asked her what he could do for her. She told him "Bring my husband back to life, bring me a bottle of water, and get me the HELL out of here!!!!" LOL They couldn't have any kids after they moved their and she eventualy had a hystorectomy due to Cancer and otehr issues. It's all from the pollution.

Well ladies I took the kids to work w/ me today and got done super fast! Now, I'm sitting here thinking about next month. TEST!!!!!! YIKES!!!!!! I'm so nervous! I told Jason if this FET does not work then I'm getting some sugeries.....LOL.... Like inflate my baloons. Plus we will be adopting. I'm feeling rather anxious about it all. I'm ok w/ what ever happens, but I would like to know already.

I always try to do whta makes Jason happy. You know, try to stay in shape, and things like that. Last night he said he wants me to grow my hair out. I realy don't have a problem w/ that except the pain it is during the whole process. I like it this way though, I think it's cute and very easy for me to care for. He wears his hair the way I like, but he does not work out. I've told him I worry about his health and latley he is realy packing the pounds on. I guess I'm just venting right now. I just get so annoyed w/ him. Anyway, should I grow it out, or should I tell him when he goes back tothe gym I will grow it out???? HUH?

In my angriness and hormonalness I decided to clean out the garage (for a couple of sadistic reasons.....) We are going to the cabin tomorrow night, and will be there for 5 days, so I had to dig out all the snowmachine and winter gear.... helmets, bibs, jackets, gloves, headsocks, goggles, and coolers for food.
I found where the dam mice are hiding since Delta dog's raid on the mice.... the little buggers are in my cupboards in the garage!!!  I was vacuuming up all the mouse poo and wiping down the shelves with bleach water (I thought it was old poo from before Delta got them)..... as I am doing this one ran right at me!!! Just about knocked my off my stool!! After that little episode I brought the dogs into the garage with me - they were my body guards and look outs! I now have about 8 new traps set for the little bast@rds!!!

by the way..... it is 14 BELOW here!!!!  I NEED A BEACH!!!!

So, my stupid GYN is sending me in for a US today to check for cysts. I told her tehre will be one, there always is!!!! But she wants to make sure there isn't. I'm having alot of pain between cycles which just doesn't make since. She says it's hormonal and she can't do anything about it until after my FET. (this is my GYN not my RE) But she still wants to do the US. Waste of my time and money. I know they will find a cyst and give me meds.

Okay, right now nervous is an understatement!!! My stomach is so queasy and I am so excited, I actually vomited..I know TMI...sorry...I have already been in for beta (7am) so now the waiting begins!!! I am going to lurk around the boards and not post too much until I get some news..or should I say my BFP!! I am praying real hard for it!!! My beta was only 94.7 and I was little concerned....but she told me that it is that amount because I was testing at 9 days..She said as long as it is above 25 I am all good! I go back Friday for my 2nd beta!!!

So, I'm back from my pointless US....LOL. I think  the tech was scared of me....LOL He asked if I knew why I was there and I said yeah "to waste my time. my beta was 101 at 14 dpo so your # looks great to me.  A friend of mine had 74 as her first beta (also day 3 transfer) and she delivered a boy last month.  Congrats!!!  I am sooo excited for you!  I have a very good feeling about your little peanut.

AFM: We're having a boy.  He has 2 extra holes in his heart and only 1 umbilical artery instead of 2, but otherwise, he's healthy and measuring 6d ahead.

Thank you all soo much!!! I am mentally drained!! I have been ordered to bed by DH! I did a due date calculation based on LMP and was told that my due date is my wedding anniversary..09/04!!
