Sperm count

Hello,
I am on the TTC over 40 forum but I had a question about sperm count. Does anyone know if the amount of sperm a man produces has anything to do with sperm count? My DH seems to have a small amount (approx tsp amount). It seems smaller than my first husband. I don't want to talk to my DH about it (comparing and all) but I was just curious. I am over 40 and my first child was not planned so TTC seems so hard now!
Any ideas?
Thanks for your help.

I am pretty sure docs look at that when doing SA, so chances are it might contribute to infertility.
