Sorry for the double post Precious_Gem...
Silirama78, I've used ALL the different OPK's out there. Nothing worked for me, so when RE told me to stop using them, I was super relieved, because they were just getting VERY costly.
But I'm serious about trying ALL the different brands out there, because I tried the cheapest (Dollar Store), to the most expensive ones (DIGITAL)...
and never got any positive results as to when I would be "O'ing"
Try asking your RE or OB/GYN to see if he/she will perform vaginal ultrasounds to determine if your follies are in the mature stage or not.
It's the route I'm going.
The first two cycles of being on Clomid, I couldn't tell you if I "O'ed" or not. It was prescribed to me from my OB/GYN, who did not have me do any U/S's, to see if the follicles were mature or not. However since the first two cycles resulted with a BFN, she referred me to my RE.
At my RE, I had to do all the workups required by the State of California (referring to the STD testing), and all the labwork along with DH doing the same thing too.
Once everything came back either in normal standing or negative or non react, then it was a green light to get a prescription by RE for Clomid.
On third cycle of Clomid, using OPKs' didn't help. It was just too hard to decipher if there were two lines and such. So RE said to stop OPKs's and just let them figure out by the sizes of the follies. In the u/s, it clearly showed ALL the follies were mature on the right side, but RE didn't want to do IUI because he felt that it would not be as successful, due to me not having a fallopian tube on my right side. He wanted me to go another round of the Clomid, and hope that the follies end up on the left side. Again, without doing OPK's, I couldn't tell you if I "O'ed" on that cycle either.
Then on my 4th round, the follies again were getting with hopes on the right side...but at the 2nd follow-up u/s, all the follies that were seen on CD13 (that weren't quite mature just yet), but would have been by the time I went back to 2nd u/s on CD17, the follies all "disappeared."
Based on lw, it shows that my level was 0.9, clearly letting RE know that I did not ovulate or "had not" ovulated on CD13. RE is confused as to why or where did follies go on CD17...when that "SHOULD HAVE BEEN" the day that I would have started to "O", based on their textbook theories.
DH had his fun (sorry for TMI), because I pushed for the constant BDing, just in case I would O late, and maybe...just maybe, his swimmers would meet an egg or eggs of mine. But dang-nab-it....I got a BFN after waiting for AF to come for 48 days!!!
Now, yesterday, as it is now 1:00am currently, I finished my 5th day of taking Clomid (at 200mgs), but is taking it with Metformin. Hoping that Met will regulate my cycle in order to hope for that BIG OLE "O" day!!!
I'm charting...and using BBT, but well, as usual, chart is all up and down, up and down...NON STOP....showing great variances each day!
So it is hard for me to tell.
RE said to just not worry about charting, temping or using OPK's...as they will determine my "O" days via through U/S.
And that from there, RE said they would monitor my cycle to chemically get me pregnant. Don't ask me what that means...b/c at this point in time, I'm sorta frustrated with my RE.
I guess, I just have to leave it in God's hands and pray that the Met and Clomid with work hand in hand, and lead me to getting a BFP this cycle.
I wish you SUPER BABYDUST, and GOOD LUCK!!

Do you know if you O'ed when you were taking clomid? I had my first cycle last month. BW showed I O'ed. Now on CD 32 still NO AF and BFN. This is frustrating.
Thanks. Its actually comforting that i'm not the only one. Try to keep mu posted i really wish u the best. It gets me a little sad though because with PCOS i have gotten a lot of body hair and its embarassing when i go to wax. Don't know what to do because doctor won't give me anything for the hair growth. I am fortunate to have a husband whos great and understanding.
I'm now on my 5th round of Clomid and taking it with Metformin.
RE was going to prescribe to me Provera, to make AF come, because it had been 45 days and still nothing.
It wasn't until CD48 came, and I called RE. She had me come in for an exam, and then prescribed me back on Clomid (200mg) to take on CD5-9 along with Metformin...but said to take 1 Met pill a day, as it can upset the stomach. I asked if she would prescribe enough for me to take them 3x a day...and she did.
So far, no stomach aches or such. No s/e's.
Just hoping that this will be the month to get preggers. I'll be 37 next month and DH and I have been TTC for now going 6 years, but only really pursue it intensively this past year with help of RE.
Good Luck and maybe we can be cycle buddies. TONS OF BABYDUST TO YOU!!!
