Starting Follistem Injection

Hi everyone. I'm curently on CD 18. Im going to be starting my first round of Follistem Injections with af. I was just wondering if anyone has used this and had successful pregnancies. We've been TTC for about 2 1/2 years now. Had 2 miscarriages with clomid and am now seeing a specialist. Also what were the symptoms you noticed most with Follistem? I'm also going to be doing a ovidrel trigger shot and Progesterone suppositories. Any symptoms with that?

I never used Follistim, but I have used a couple of other FSH shots, and I never had any major side effects (as a matter of fact, I thought clomid was worse when it came to side effects than the shots). Same with the trigger...although it does start the ovulation process, so depending on the number of eggs you have, you could of course get some extra symptoms around ovulation. The progesterone, on the other hand, does cause some symptoms that can easily be confused with pregnancy symptoms, like extra tender breasts and bloating. Good luck!!!

I just did my first round with clomid, follistim, trigger shot, iui and now im doing the progesterone suppositories i didnt have any symptoms with anything (yet) but do wear a panty liner with the suppostiories.

We used Clomid for 5 cycles with no luck, and then went to follistim/hcg trigger/iui and got pregnant on our 2nd cycle! I'm with Heather, I had no side affects with the fsh shots (Follistim) but had every side affect with Clomid. The only thing I  can suggest is definately switch up injection sites b/c you will get sore at the injection site. Good luck! :)

I started follistem last week and the only side effect i've experienced has been a little bit of a headache and a bit of bruising/soreness on my lower stomach but really the shots arn't too bad.  I'm on Follistem 100

hi, i have been on follistim for just over a week and no side effects..i have been doing a bravelle,follistim and menapur combo ad the craziest thing is i feel so much less crabby! i think my estrogen level went down( mine was really high)
