Starting IVF ????

I was wondering if anybody knows when your supposed to start taking birth control pills when starting IVF? i got my AF on Saturday 7/3 first flow day was 7/4 and i went and got my blood drawn @ my fertility clinic today. i was under the impression that i'm supposed to start taking bc pills this month, however, pretty much everybody is not in the office today becuz of the holiday, so i'm waiting for a phone call. i just want to know if anybody else was put on bc pills and if so, when? is it ok that it's my 3rd day with AF and i'm still not taking them yet? i really don't want to have to wait til next month to start taking bc pills cuz they waited too long to give them to me this month. this is already going to be the longest 3 months of my life i would hate to have to wait yet another month just to start! thank u...

When to start and quit b/c depends on your clinic's schedule and when they plan for you to start injections.  You may need to wait for them to get back to you.

I had this same problem and my doc started me on birth control pills on day 3 of my cycle. Just call them and get started right away even if you have to call the "on-call" doctor. Best wishes!
