I have had 2 failed IUI's and am currently in the beginning stages for IVF (on BCP) anyway - i was wondering how many of you had success with your first IVF after failed IUI's? also - how old were you and what was your infertility
issue? (i.e, unexplained, male factor etc) I hear so many success stories with IVF and that keeps me positive but we're paying for this procedure completely out of pocket and just the base stuff - dr fee - 8700, meds - 3300, anesthia - $350 and this doesn't include any extras - if eggs need freezing/storage etc, so I'm starting to get nervous about this... i mean what if after all this money spent it doesn't work? the dr is giving me a 40% success rate for my age... that's much better than IUI but it's not like its 80%!
my IUIs failed (with injectibles) but my first IVF worked and i am almost 6 weeks pregnant.
we have mod male factor and unexplained on my end
they told me 60-65% success at my age (35) and hormone levels, etc
good luck!
. I have had a successful pregnancy where i conceived naturally (very easily) but for some reason I can not get pregnant again. I thought for sure those IUI's would work. I'm really hoping this IVF works.
Congrats! I'll be getting the results of my IVF (after 4 failed IUIs) next Monday, and I was given a 62% success rate at my clinic (age 30). Hope to be joining you soon, fingers
Hi I had 6 failed IUI due to overstimulation even on a dose as low as 25iu Folistim .My problem was I had no periods. 1st IVF got pregnant with my son who is now 18 months. I conceived this pregnancy naturally and am 6 months with a girl.
thanks :)
my clinic only recommended 24 hours bedrest-which i did.
then no strenuous activity for 3-5 days, which i also followed.
i figured i would follow everything they recommended so if it didn't work i wouldn't be doing the "what ifs" game.
Wow both your chances for IVF was 60-65% thats so good mine was 50% and am younger than you guys. Also we are unexplained but I have arthritis, hypothyroidism and had fibroid
myomectomy surgery more than an year ago. I dont know if it was cuz of my health issues or the success % depends on the clinic. Anyhu just wanted to mention this :-) congrats to u guys again
It is nice to hear these success stories. I am pretty sure my 4th IUI failed. I would be totally shocked if my test is + on Friday. I am trying to decide if I want to continue this journey and go for one last shot with IVF. Congrats to those who got their bfps!
