Just cheking in. We decided to go on with the next cycle. We have 7 egss left. so we will put back three this this time. transfer will done next cycle in December. on Nov. 19 I start luperon. We are praying and having faith that 2010 will start motherhood for me. I will check on and off. I will continue to pray for you all and me.

thank you so much for answering all of the questions i had about IVF meds. However, i was wondering if anyone is so stressed out over this whole process. I feel like my anxiety is at an all time high and I have been having stomach cramps daily due to stress. My dh and I decided that we are going to hold off on IVF until after the new year because I physically cannot take all the stress. I don't know if I just haven't dealt with it all or if I am just that nervous. Anyone have any suggestions?????

You know your body more than any one. You know how much you just can not handle. I say pray about it and relax. try to take it one step at a time, Yes the process is alot but at the end no doctor can make miracles just GOD. He has the final say so. I hope I helped. Just do your part and pray that God does he's part.

oh sweetie of course you are stressed :) this is something that none of us thought we would have to do. No one enjoys this process and all we can do is be there for each other and soldier on. Just thinking about being a mom is stressful and when you make the decision to try and then that whole process is hard, but once you find out that IVF is the route you have to take everything just seems overwhelming. The best way to do it is just one step at a time and dont think about the whole thing. You wont go through this with out some stress but if you can keep it to a minimal it best, I started scarp booking the whole thing cause it gave me something to focus on and every time i completed a step it seemed a little easier. We will all be here for you whenever you decide to try and always feel like you can share any anxiety you are having because one of the best things to ease your mind is to ask questions and hear others experiences. Good luck....

Does anyone reckon the stress gets less as you go through 2nd and 3rd cycle of IVF? I am getting less stressed as I know what is happening but I still get nervous of getting any embryos etc.

I did find that I was so relaxed with my 2nd IVF than I was with the 1st. Praying fo hear your BFP very soon.

anetski- I wish you goodluck in this cycle. Its really good that u r feeling less stress with ur 3rd IVF and I pray it continues that way for you all through BFP and the nine months after.

pregnancylove12- It is understandable that u r feeling stressed, going thru this process can be stressful. If you feel you are too stressed to go on, then its probably best to take a breather. Whatever you decide, I wish you luck. God bless.

Went for my 2nd ante natal today. Got a picture of my baby from the scan and that's on my fridge now. I also got to hear the baby's heartbeat. That was a wow experience for me.

i can't thank you enough for all of the encouraging words. i went to the doctors on weds. and they want me to go on anxiety meds for a month or two so that i can "give myself a break from me!" i don't know how i feel about the whole thing and i am relieved that i am taking a few months off, but disappointed that i can't control the stress and do ivf now. i am definitly feeling hopeless!!!

Yesterday I had my 12 week scan everything is good. Babies are doing fine but I have complain that docs here don't give much time to patient. We are very disappointed they are always is rush we have to ask question till our ob open her door.

I mean for first time parents and with twins they have to give us time don't u think.
Everyone saying she is good and every doc is same so we r very confused to changing other, I have searched but don't know what to do.

I m still feeling same waiting for nausea to go away. hmmm enough with me.. how r u doing?
don't read much on net that is the best advice I can give u. Good wishes dear!!!

hey ladies, just checking in I am glad to hear that you are going to be taking some meds pregnancylove as being stressed can affect so many things lets hope they give you the calm you need :). 4everwealth happy that you got your second scan and things where good nothing is better than seeing your baby or babies on that monitor..have you experienced and tail bone pain yet? Anetski hope to hear about your big fat positive soon :)

AFM- I have been dealing with tailbone pain :( I looked it up and it can be very normal as your uterus is attached to your tailbone via ligaments so the pain is caused by them stretching. My headaches have gone for now know on wood and we are getting things ready for the babies :) husband just put up crown moulding in the rooms up stairs the other day so the next thing will be setting up the crib and starting decor. I have the bedding on order and have got the gear basiscs now stroller,car seats etc. having two can really add up but my family has helped us out a lot. I got a few tiny onesies yesterday too cause as you know mine are not going to be very big in the beginning i just can't believe how tiny they are just melted my heart. Once we find out what they are i will be able to do more cloths shopping but thats next so still a few days to go. Feeling very pregnant now my belly is really sticking out and I got my first set of stretch marks :( but i guess they are like my medals of honor :) well jjst thought i would let you know what was going on with me....thinking of all of you

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I am being very positive :).

I had my retrieval yesterday and they got 21 eggs. I slept the whole day and I am very sore. Much worse than last time and I had some bright red bleeding last night. The embryologist said that I should watch out for OHSS symptoms as 21 eggs is alot so I am going to drink 3 litres of water a day as per their advise.They will ring me this morning to advise how many fertilized.

Oh I watched a short programme from my home country Denmark where they are trying out a new method of picking the right egg to put back. They have video surveillance 24 hrs of the eggs that has been retrieved so they can see the different growth stages the eggs go through which should help them determine which egg is the best so the woman only ever have to do one cycle as it should work first time. They said it would be available to the public in 2 years time. I thought it was amazing.

anetski - Those are great numbers. Looking forward to hearing about your BFP, :)). Hope drinking lots of water is keeping the OHSS away. I had 21 egga retrieved also and even though my OHSS was mild, its not something I'd wish on anybody.

stressed - Yes, I have experienced tail bone pain but havent felt it for awhile now. I hope to start working on my baby's room soon and should start shopping for the baby soon.
I dont sleep so good and that has been going on for a couple of days now. I guess its because of my growing baby bump. I hope it gets better soon.

Thanks guys. With all you guys hoping and crossing fingers for me I have to get a BFP! :)

Well retrieval was monday morning and today is thursday here and they called with an update saying we now have 18 eggs doing really well. 1 has caught up with the others.. Isn't that amazing? She said that today and night is the critical time and it will show which ones are the good ones so tomorrow I should have a better idea of how many we can freeze. I am trying not to get my hopes up as I know that so many of them can still die but it is hard when the number is that huge.

I did call the nurses yesterday for advise as I have been much more sore than last times I had retrievals done. They ended up calling me back and I had a bloodtest this morning to check my hormone levels as they don't want to risk OHSS. I am waiting for their call. Scared they will cancel the transfer this saturday. I so hope not.

Going for acupuncture tomorrow afternoon and also right after the transfer.

It is nice to see a few of you are getting ready for the babies to arrive. I remember so enjoying that whole time of shopping and a week before he came I washed all the babyclothes I had been given and it was a bit sureal to think that I would have a little human being soon. I can't wait for that time again. It is the best ever!!!!

I am wondering if we could do an update again of where everyone is at?

Hi there!
I never write on these things so I have no idea if I'm doing this right or not. It is so nice to read about other women going through this. I tried talking about my IVF with a few friends but no one seems to really understand. Reading about all of you finally makes me realize that it's normal to be feel like I'm on an emotional roller coaster!!!
I just turned 26 and this is my second IVF cycle. BFN on the first one this past summer and now trying a new cycle.
2 3d embies transferred (1 10 cells and the other 8 cells). The first time I went through IVF I had sore bbs and was moody but nothing else. This time around, I'm on the same meds and still have those symptoms but I also have some dizziness and a few days ago had some mild cramping and lower back pain. Could this be a good sign or am I just being unrealistic? I still have to wait until next Thursday for my beta...slowly going crazy! I konw it's only day 6pt but I'm dying to do a hpt! UGH!

I had my beta today and I AM PREGNANT!!!! I got my positive result! I feel so blessed! My HCG level was 160. Can other people share with me what their levels were when they got their BFP's. Thanks!

Hopin4baby- Congrats!!!! so nice to hear a BFP, and that a great number mine was 175 and i ended up with twins :) can't wait to hear about your u/s.

Fingers- those are all good signs but as you know your body can play weird tricks on you so the best way is to just weight till the beta, I know it's hard but i didn't test myself until the day before my beta. You just don't want false hope or a false negative. I go for my u/s on Thursday that tells me what they are and that they are on track for growing so i hope we have good news to share that day.

AFM I got an update today and 4 embryos are doing great but some of the others could catch up so maybe we have more tomorrow morning (yesterday I had 18).

I am a bit stressed now as my bloddtest the other day was ok but the doctor said he will give me a proper examination tomorrow and if he has any doubts that I may have OHSS then he will not transfer any embryos. So now 2 am in the morning I cannot sleep as it is too hot (more than 30degrees) and I feel sore and nauseated. I think I am stressing myself out. damn it!!!

Please let me have the transfer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hopin - This is wonderful news!!! Congratulations. I never got my beta number, I only was told my pregnancy test was positive but ur numbers look great!! Enjoy your pregnancy.

I know waiting until the beta day can be so frustrating but try to take your mind off it as much as possible: get lost in a good novel or watch movies that will make you relax and feel good. Thanks so much for your help hopinforbaby, stressed and 4everwealth!!  I managed to convince myself not to do a hpt yet although it crosses my mind everyday even though I know it's still super early (ARGH!)  I'm back to work now  so that's really helping to take my mind off things...however I work at the hospital and have to get patients up alot....I have an assistant to help me but I'm still kinda worried that I'm lifting too much.

Hopinforbaby: That is such great news!  I'm so happy for you!!!!

1aa, 1bb  one frozen
now waiting no sx except back pain which has been improving

couple of questions
does the 1bb embryo stand a chance? What is bb mean?
When does the beta  get checked? They have scheduled 16 day after retreival? Should and when should I test with home preg test
what is bfp?

BFP->big fat positive.
Embryologist do grading of embryos so 1 aa and 1 bb is grading. ask ur RE bcoz every center has their own meaning. I think aa is best and so on. But don't think about it, doesn't matter.
Only your embryologist will tell u about the embryo u can ask them.

You can do hpt (home pregnancy test) 10 day after transfer. But please don't do before that it has to be at least 10 day.
Stay hydrated and take rest.

fingerxed: Good luck to you as well and I don't know about lifting but avoid it as much as possible. I did good rest for 3 days but at 4 th day my few friends came to visit us so that day I had lot of bending and lifting after that me and dh were worried but we prayed and hoped for positive result and we got our bfp.
I m wishing u good luck.

AFM: Facing lower back pain and sleeping trouble. Nausea is still on and off. But happy to be on 2nd trimester.
Praying for all of us everyday.

Hi

Had my transfer of 1 x AA blastycyst embryo. They said that they had thought that the others would have developed the same but none had so dissapointing but maybe they would catch up. I was dissapointed as the thought of doing all those meds again makes me ill but then I thought 1 is all it takes so hopefully this is the one.

Well they called today and they have frosen 4 blastycyst embryos. I cried! :)

Hi everyone!

I got my second beta today and my level was 954. I was glad to hear I am still pregnant. For some reason both DH and I are having a really hard time accepting this to be real. When you go through this process you begin to doubt anything positive will last. I dont think it will feel real until the ultra sound. Then we will tell people. Waiting is so hard. you guys know that better than anyone out there.

Hope everyone is doing well in wherever they are in this process.

HI everyone

HELP I am not coping at all. I am convinced it hasn't worked. I am cramping like AF. I am so angry and I feel like I need a huge cry to get rid of all these bottled up emotions. I have done all the things I was not supposed to. No internet searching - done that, No buying of HPT - bought 5, No testing - done 1, No giving up hope - done that already. This is the 3rd go. I can't believe if it is negative again. Why doesn't it work.

I am so over it all now. Why does this have to be so hard???????????

Sorry had to get rid of it.

Took a HPT and it is BFP. It is almost 14 days since trigger so that should be out of my system and I did 2 tests that was negative in the last few days too so it should be a real one right?

I am so happy I could scream.

Anetski- I am so glad to hear that you got your BFP' when is your beta? From the first few post i could see you where driving yourself crazy!! Good luck and i can't wait to hear that your numbers are good.

AFM- i haven't been on in a bit as i got something called hydronephrosis, which is where the babies are cutting off the flow of urine from my kidney to my bladder. It was sooooo pain full and caused my kidney's to get inflamed so i was in the hospital for the day, i wen to the specialist to check everything out after being on bed rest for a few days laying only on my left side things started taking care of themselves. The babies finally moved and the flow returned, it was pretty scary for a few days but now i am feeling better and just have to monitor it and make sure it does not happen again otherwise i will have to get a stent put it to keep it open while i am pregnant. Starting to really feel pregnant as it hard to get around and i get tired after not doing to much can't believe that there it just over 13 weeks left it's so crazy when you say it like that. I was glad to hear about the newbies and the BFP i will keep in touch to hear more good results.

ASFM- Started Luperon and AF  was due Staurday and still waiting.   If AF does not come on today we would have to start after the holidays because DR. office is closed for the holidays.

Thanks for the best wishes from you all. I am so excited. Had my bloodtest yesterday at 10dpt and HCG was 156 and progesterone was over 300 so all good. 7 Week scan is 21 Dec. I cannot wait.

As soon as I had taken the HPT on sat and it showed positive I felt so hungover and hungry. I am sure I didn't feel these symptoms so early with my son. Heaps of cramping going on but that is ok.

Hope evryone else is going well?

You got so many eggs at retrieval I hope I am that lucky. I am 37 though & know the #'s drop when you get older. I will have the retrieval tomorrow & transfer over the weekend..possibly sunday. (Fingers & toes crossed)

hi everyone! ...and congrats to all the BFP's!!!
I also had my BFP last week. first beta was 227 and second one was 613. So happy! Although now I'm starting to be in denial that it all worked. Just wondering, since we're on all those meds (progesterone, estradiol), would I have symptoms if I miscarried or would I not even know about it?!?!?!? I have to wait until dec 14 for the week 7 ultrasound and I'm going nuts!

I keep thinking the same thing so I know how you feel but if you have not gotten your period then you are still preggers! That is what I keep telling myself. you will know if you are miscarrying because you will have red discharge and cramping. I had a scare over the weekend where I had brown discharge and I called the clinic. They said that brown means it is old blood and it is just working its way out. My 7 week ultra sound is in one week. Happy 6 weeks to whoever is in there! So blessed to have made it this far. Hope allof you are well!!!

Happy Holidays and a Happy new Year....hope all those asking for that special gift for Christmas get what their heart desires....

AFM- still having some kidney issues just hoping that i will make it to 34 weeks so that the babies have enough time to cook in there. 9 weeks 6 days and counting...starting to feel more like a house :) can't wait for Christmas dinner mmmmmm....Turkey. I am so glad that i did all my shopping in November so i only had my husband to do and let me tell you that was enough!! shopping in crowded malls while pregnant is no fun. I am finding that i am always hungry lately...just can't get enough but i still have only put on 20 pounds so doing good so far. We get to go for our next u/s on the 24th so we will get to wish them a merry Christmas in there. If i haven't said yet we are having one of each so Ethan & Ella are their names and we can't wait to meet them.....hope everyone is doing well...
