forum, but I am suffering from so much anxiety from wondering about this, I need an answer!
In February 2008 I had a total thyroidectomy(6 weeks after I gave birth to my son).
Basically, what I want to know if it is still a possibility for me to be a surrogate mother without my thyroid. I've seen everyone talking about the problems with pregnancy, which I was never informed of before my surgery. I have always wanted to be a surrogate and now I feel that, that opportunity has been taken away from me without my knowledge or permission. If I would have known that being a surrogate wasn't possible after a thyroidectomy, I never would have had it done.
I had a multinodular goiter
! To me it wasnt a big deal, I had it for 10 years. and I would have kept it, if it meant I could be a surrogate. I am just very upset by this whole situation,
Does anyone know anything about this? I am finally at a point in my life where I am able to be a surrogate, a loving and supportive husband, two beautiful children and three wonderful step-sons. I have an amazing family
and I want to help another couple have the same...so you can imagine how distraught I am not knowing whether or not I am able to be a surrogate.
Can anyone help me with more information!?
