Switching combined oral contraceptive pill brands mid-use

I left my Yasmin oral contraceptive pills at school, causing me to miss a pill from my packet. I had another brand of the pill at home- Kariva, so I took two of those pills this morning, one at my regularly scheduled time, and the other to make up for the one missed pill from the day before.

Do you think that was ok ? substituting one combined oral contraceptive pill for another?

Should i go back to Yasmin on Monday, when I can pick it up from school, or should I continue with the other brand- Kariva?

I guess the only difference between the two pills the progestin. What do you think?

Whatever you do, use a backup method for the next 7 days of continuous use of ONE BRAND.  I don't have the energy today to look up each brand to see what's in them.

Use a back up method.  You might also spot from changing brands, if they differ in ingredients.  Just keep taking one brand, and use that backup for 7 days of continuous use.
