Hi so according to this app my most fertile day was yesterday. I have had unprotected sex 4 times in the last 5 days. I've noticed I've also had pulsing/sharp shooting pains from my left side along with back pain and yesterday a miserable headache.
Just wondering what my chances of conceiving are... And also all apps differ.. I have two one says today is my ovulation day lol

My fertilty dr says have sex every other day during the time frame so there is time for sperm to build up

I've heard sex everyday is not good because it does not give the sperm enough time to build up so its best to try every other day.  I don't follow the apps however I do have them and see what they say. But they all show my ovulation different. My cycles change every month so I can't rely on apps. It can be 33 days, then 28 days, then 25 days so its hard to say when I ovulate. I tried ovulation kits but based on what I read today I think I'm doing it wrong. The research showed that you at least need to have a four hour window of not urinating before taking the test for a good LH reading or to not miss the surge if any. All the best to you, fingers crossed

I guess I'm in the same boat too my last period was feb 6th which made my ovulation day yesterday.  There is so much information out there about what you need to do to get pregnant it is so confusing. So all me and my husband do is just have sex, and I  wait a while before I get up because I heard if you place a pillow under your butt it helps the sperm get where it needs to be. I wish you both good luck.

When searching for info I've come across this a few dofferent times, different pages.

"Fertility fact 2: Relax, have sex every day
Don't worry about having too much sex when you are trying to conceive. The same NEJM study found that having sex every day is slightly more likely to result in pregnancy than intercourse every other day. Experts do caution couples not to put love making on a schedule. That, they say, just might decrease chances of conception.
The scientific evidence is scarce, but if you are stressed and love making is on 'schedule',' there is some data to show that hormones may be affected and that in turn could influence conception. A Harvard Medical School study on women with fertility problems, that 55% of those who completed a 10 week course of relaxation training and stress reduction had a viable pregnancy within one year, compared with just 20% of the group who had no stress reduction training. Doctors have also found that women undergoing fertility treatments, who remained relaxed and optimistic, had better overall outcomes than women who were pessimistic about their ability to conceive. If you are worried all the time about getting pregnant, if you obsess over it and think about only that, you might influence your body chemistry in a way that does affect your fertility. The key is to "think about making love, not about making babies."

Thanks for the reply :)

First day of last period was Feb 6. I have average of 5 days for my period. So around this time is when I get these pains on either side. I'm kusy gonna hope for the best and have fun :D I've read that sex everyday is also good. That it doesnt matter how much u have.

Firstly, can I just say - an app is not a good way to see when you're fertile. An app cannot possibly know that. All it does is guess, going by when your last period was. Guessing is as about as good as an app gets so don't judge your fertile window based on that. They can be and are wong.

Also, when trying to conceive, you need to be having sex every other day (not every day). This gives the sperm a chance to build back up again - having sex every day can mean sperm count is lower and could prove uselss.

Pains in your left side could indicate ovulation, among other things. If you want to track ovulation properly then I would suggest using OPKs (ovulation predictor kits) These are much more accurate as they test your hormone levels, and can predict within 24 hours of when you are likely to ovulate.
