Targeted ultrasound??

Hey everyone! I am going tomorrow for a targeted ultrasound not really sure why I have to have it done, because everyone I talk to didn't have to have it done. Anyways I will be 17 weeks tomorrow, and just wondering do anyone think just maybe that they might could tell me what I am having? We would really like to know, we are so anxious! I still don't get it tho, my doc didn't call it a targeted ultrasound, she called it a  high resolution ultrasound, but the brochure we got telling us about the office said it is a targeted..I'm so sorry I know I am rambling, just alittle confused. Well I would love to know what you guys think!  Thanks a million!

This is an excellent link to explain what the u/s is for and why it is performed. You are young, so the main reasons they do it don't apply. Did you have other tests done that didn't come back in normal range? If not, I would say the dr is just checking everything out and covering all your bases.
