Temperature Question

Okay...

So, AF was due today (didn't get it) or tomorrow, I have been testing for a few days, and all were BFN's.

I have read here that some women did not get their BFP's until well after AF was due.

So...

My question about temps is this:

I have not been charting my BBT by taking my temps in the morning, but I have been taking my temps at night just out of curiosity.

My normal temp, even at night, for the last several years (not while trying to conceive) has always been an average of 97.4 to 97.6.

For the last 3 nights my temps have been 98.5, 98.7, and tonight 98.9.

I'm not sick at all so I doubt it's from any illness.

Could this mean anything in terms of pg? Could I still possibly be pregnant even though I tested negative on the day or day before AF was due?

I know I could just be grasping at straws here, but I wanted to know what you all think.

: )

You can get accurate temps no matter which time of day you take your temps as long as it's taken at the same time everyday and you remain still, read, watch tv, for about an hour before you take it.

basel body temperature is your temp while your body is at rest. So you can take your temp any time of the day as long as you have sat still, very still, watched tv, read a book, etc. The important part is to take the temp the same time every day. So for people who can't take their temp in the am, they can sit and read a book for an hour or so at any other time of the day and get their charting done that way. (But the same time every day)

Your temp sounds nice and high. For me having a temp that high at night was an indicator of pregnancy or post O temps. Of course the only real proof in a pos hpt.

I say test and let us know.

You need to be taking your Basal Body Temperature (BBT = the lowest temperature of your body during any given day), which you can only read first thing in the morning - as soon as you wakeup, with at least 4 hours of prior sleep. Taking your temperature at night is not a reliable way to predict fertility.
