You could always check your cervical position as well. If you have the book you should know how to do that...
I HAD THE SAME THING HAPPEN TO ME THIS MONTH.I MISSED ONE CRUCIAL DAY
RIGHT BEFORE I THOUGHT I OVULATED AND IT MESSED UP MY WHOLE CHART.MY CHART
SAID I DIDNT OVULATE EVEN THOUGH MY TEMPS WERE SAYING I DID.SO I WENT BACK
TO THAT DAY AND PUT A 97.0 IN THE BOX(I DRANK AT A PARTY THAT DAY SO MY TEMP
WAS WAY HIGH)I WAS A 97.0 THE MONTH BEFORE.AFTER I DID THAT MY CHART WAS ON TRACK
IT HAD THE RIGHT INFO EVEN THOUGH IT TOOK ME 1 HR TO FIGURE OUT ONE DAY COULD
MESS YOUR CHART UP.IM HAPPY TO SAY THAT I THINK THIS MONTH I MIGHT BE PREGNANT
MY TEMPS ARE HIGH AND IM LATE.I WISH YOU LUCK IN CHARTING AND LOTS OF BABY DUST!!
I don't think that would affect your chart. My chart always looks somewhat erradict right up until I ovulate - then there is a very clear shift and everything falls into place. It is possible that you are just having a longer cycle than what you are used to. A friend of mine thought her cycles were 28 days too until she started monitoring them and now realized they actually vary a lot. I have found it to be very important to not move or rustle around too much before taking my temp. I also put the thermometer in the very same place everytime and sort of push it under my tongue during the reading. So far so good.
