cyst they will put me on BC for a few months to shrink the dang thing. At least, that is what I keep reading when someone shows up with a cyst on an ovary and is TTC. I WILL NOT BE PUT ON BC PILLS - that dang thing will just have to EXPLODE first - if that is what it is!
I need to know if anyone has had this pain and what the heck can/should I do about it. I wanna call my doc but I WILL NOT GO ON BC PILLS - I seriously can not take anymore WAITING!! At least when I am trying I feel more productive, if I am I on BCP then I KNOW i can't get preggo and I will just FREAK out - I know IT! HELP please :) Thanks ladies - you guys are the best!
It does sound like a cyst. I wasn't put on bc for mine either. But, if it is large enough to go on bc, it is probably a good idea. If it a cyst and it continues to grow, you could lose an ovary over it. Definitely not worth that. Most cysts do resolve themselves. But if they don't, they can be serious. It also depends on the type of cyst that it is.
After my second IUI i got cyst and went for my u/c to see if everything was good, and it was pretty large cyst, so they had to do blood work before they could put me on another treatment, they check estrogen
I too had a cyst discovered in December 06. It turned out to be an endo cyst that would not go away with or without bc pills. Because it was over 2 inches in size (yes intercourse was painful) the cyst had to be surgically removed. The surgery was performed just like a c-section, in February 07'. I was told we could start trying again 6 months after surgery.
I recommend getting this checked out ASAP. You could lose and ovary, and even time from TTC.
~>HELLO!!....just read your thread (I'm a poet and you didn't know it..!!..) ~ anyway ~ try drinking alot of V8 ~ I add extra ceyenne to mine ~ it helped get rid of my cyst in a week ~ BEST of luck!!!.....(I like the natural ways of curing as opposed to the medicinal ~ too many side-effects...) ~ TOTAL health nut..!!!:-)
I used to have very painful intercourse, and it felt like like someone was stabbing me with a knife. I finally found a doc who would listen, and she did an u/s. It was a "chocolate" cyst from the endo. They had to go in anyway to remove the endo, but the cyst was so big they also had to remove 1/2 of my right ovary - and I was only 18 at the time. I wasn't TTC at the time but it was still devastating to have that done along with dealing w the endo and PCOS.
Talk to the doc, tell him what you want/don't want. It's not worth losing some of the necessary plumbing.... :) GOOD LUCK! Hugs!!!
Well, that pretty much solidifies the fact that I need to call the doc :( It doesn't hurt to have sex, only when I have an actual orgasm... Damn! I don't wanna lose an ovary! UGH! I will call them monday. :( (boo hoo!)
i do feel a strange pain in my left ovary during intercourse and i have been for some time but like you i never wanted to check what was wrong, i used to blame it on the position, the time of the month.....i also get pain a week before i get my period like a stretch from the ovary to down below....but i ignore it
i do have a cyst in my left ovary and i am refusing to have it removed, i am scared to do the op, i do not want to anyone to fiddle with my ovaries i'd rather bear the pain.
I get ovarian cyst every month and they hurt. I actually ended up in the hospital 3 months ago anyways, since I didn't want to be on bc the doc gave me pain meds and told me to buy a heating pad. The heating pad actually helps the pain. That is if your experiencing it other times other than sex.
