That DANG pain is still there in my ovary... TMI

Ok - I already asked this a few weeks ago, but the freakin pain is stillt there so please help me. TMI warning: whenever I have an orgasm my left ovary feel like it is being stabbed right before orgasm and for about 1 minute after it. I am scared to orgasm now - it flippin HURTS! I thought it would go away but dang it  - it didn't. The right is fine. No pain.

Here is why I do NOT want to go to the doc: If it is an ovarian cyst they will put me on BC for a few months to shrink the dang thing. At least, that is what I keep reading when someone shows up with a cyst on an ovary and is TTC. I WILL NOT BE PUT ON BC PILLS - that dang thing will just have to EXPLODE first - if that is what it is!

I need to know if anyone has had this pain and what the heck can/should I do about it. I wanna call my doc but I WILL NOT GO ON BC PILLS - I seriously can not take anymore WAITING!! At least when I am trying I feel more productive, if I am I on BCP then I KNOW i can't get preggo and I will just FREAK out - I know IT! HELP please :) Thanks ladies - you guys are the best!

i had something similiar early last year...it was a cyst and i was not put on bc to make it shrink...my doc said they typically go away on their own

make sure to tell the doc you do not wish to go on bc pills and see if there is something else that can be done

best of luck...im praying its not a cyst

It does sound like a cyst. I wasn't put on bc for mine either. But, if it is large enough to go on bc, it is probably a good idea. If it a cyst and it continues to grow, you could lose an ovary over it. Definitely not worth that. Most cysts do resolve themselves. But if they don't, they can be serious. It also depends on the type of cyst that it is.

Hi, i am so sorry you having so much paint.

After my second IUI i got cyst and went for my u/c to see if everything was good, and it was pretty large cyst, so they had to do blood work before they could put me on another treatment, they check estrogen levels i guess to see how hight or low.

My cyst was very big, estrogen level was very low, so i am doing IUI tomorrow, and whey i went to do u/c yesterday, cyst was just very little, so it was shrinking.

My advise, go to doctor, at least they can monitor it with u/c, dont get on BC pills, but just make sure they know the size and check your blood.

Good luck and let us know.

I too had a cyst discovered in December 06.  It turned out to be an endo cyst that would not go away with or without bc pills.  Because it was over 2 inches in size (yes intercourse was painful) the cyst had to be surgically removed.  The surgery was performed just like a c-section, in February 07'. I was told we could start trying again 6 months after surgery.
I recommend getting this checked out ASAP. You could lose and ovary, and even time from TTC.

I used to have very painful intercourse, and it felt like like someone was stabbing me with a knife. I finally found a doc who would listen, and she did an u/s. It was a "chocolate" cyst from the endo. They had to go in anyway to remove the endo, but the cyst was so big they also had to remove 1/2 of my right ovary - and I was only 18 at the time. I wasn't TTC at the time but it was still devastating to have that done along with dealing w the endo and PCOS.

Talk to the doc, tell him what you want/don't want. It's not worth losing some of the necessary plumbing.... :) GOOD LUCK! Hugs!!!

Well, that pretty much solidifies the fact that I need to call the doc :( It doesn't hurt to have sex, only when I have an actual orgasm... Damn! I don't wanna lose an ovary! UGH! I will call them monday. :( (boo hoo!)

hi there,

i do feel a strange pain in my left ovary during intercourse and i have been for some time but like you i never wanted to check what was wrong, i used to blame it on the position, the time of the month.....i also get pain a week before i get my period like a stretch from the ovary to down below....but i ignore it

i do have a cyst in my left ovary and i am refusing to have it removed, i am scared to do the op, i do not want to anyone to fiddle with my ovaries i'd rather bear the pain.

I get ovarian cyst every month and they hurt. I actually ended up in the hospital 3 months ago anyways, since I didn't want to be on bc the doc gave me pain meds and told me to buy a heating pad. The heating pad actually helps the pain. That is if your experiencing it other times other than sex.
