I know I've been gone for months now but was unable to access this site. Problem fixed....just needed a new comp haha. Well just wanted to announce Owen William's arrival on September 15th at 2034 weighing 7lbs even and 19 inches long. I was due on the 19th but was induced due to PUPPP. If you haven't heard of it it stands for Puritic Uticartic Plaques and Papules of Pregnancy. It's an extremely itchy rash that spreads all over your belly and to your hands
will cure it. So I went in on the 14th at 10pm to be induced and they broke my water at 1245am and then started me on pitocin at 515am and my contractions
picked up and got regular in minutes. I was doing well till 1130 when the broke the remainder of my membranes and then maxed out my pit. I was in agony. The intensity just hit me like a brick wall. So I got an epidural
after trying everything else possible to get comfortable. I was 5-6 cm by then and I was 8cm by 3pm. Then I just stopped. They finally checked me around 530 and determined the baby was posterior
and knees and then tried to turn him and his heartrate decelerated so they stopped. They gave me another hour to progress. His heartrate kept decelerating and then rebounding after contractions so they said he was becoming in distress so they wheeled me in for a c-section after checking me again after an hour and only progressing 1/2cm. C-section has been hard to wrap my head around and recover from. Not what I was planning and I am really fearful it will affect my next pregnancy as I want to do it natural. Scared about all the talk of the chance of your uterus rupturing along the old scar line. But all in all everything is well. The little man is healthy and I'm doing well. Slow recovery but getting there. Can't wait to be back to my normal self and be able to get out of this house on my own. Good luck to everyone else ttc and all the new mommies out there. It really is the most amazing experience ever.
