Hello everyone. I went for IUI recently and the nurse mentioned to me that my uterus tilts back. Has anyone ever heard of this before? Is it normal? She didn't seem to make too big of a deal out of it. She was performing transvag. u/s and just mentioned it tilts back. Should I ask my doctor about this? Will it affect fertility? Or is it normal?
Actually most women to some extent do have a tipped uterus. its referred to as retro(back) or anteverted(forward). It usually doesn't cause any health or fertility issues. A tipped uterus will usually right itself during the 10-12 week of pregnancy. U can check it out on wikipedia. just type in retroverted uterus. I have a retroverted uterus and never had any issues from it. Hope that helps
