Time to move from IUI to IVF?

Hi girls-

I am currently 9dpiui...it is our third IUI.  I am thinking it did not work.  I am almost 35 and becoming very anxious.  I am wondering if we should move to IVF if this cycle was not successful.  I was on femara this time around with 5 follies.  So, injectibles would probably not make any difference at this point.  My insurance does cover both IUI and IVF so that is really not a factor.  I just need some advice and helpful words.  Also, how long does a typical IVF cycle last?  The reason for my question-I go on 4-28 for my beta, with AF expected soon after.  We will be on vacation 5-15 through 5-21 so I am thinking May will be a wash.  Which again, may be a sign to take the month off and start IVF when we return.  Any advice you have would be most appreciated.  Thank you girls!

Hopefully you will get your BFP but if not this cycle why not give it a shot.  Especially if it's covered by your insurance.  Good Luck to you!

If your insurance covers ivf you shoul go for it since probability of success is much greater.  Ivf typically takes two cycles since you start with a month of b/c pills.

I think you and I will be on the same IVF cycle.  I was supposed to be on IVF strating this cycle - AF on 4/17.  we decided to go with Clomid, no IUI because I have small cervix.  We are on vacation from 5/23-5/30, so my RE recommended I start with bc pils starting next  cycle.  This is my second attempt with Clomid but we decided to move on to IVF as we don't want to waste time
