I called the RE and got a nurse who was totally useless and basically told me she never heard of Progesterone thickening your blood (I've heard it everywhere) and if I was concerned about it I should go to the ER. So I panicked and took a second one anyway, my logic being that an adult aspirin is 325mg, and 2 babies would still be just less than half of an adult aspirin - it seemed pretty harmless to try one time (maybe not everyday but at least til I got a hold of a doctor). After I took the second one I was tingle free for about 3 hours, but I was also very active those three hours. Then I got a hold of my friend who's been a nurse for years (I SWEAR she knows more than most doctors I talk to!) and she said not to worry whatsoever. They apparently give pregnant women some drug (I can't remember the name) that's a blood thinner if they get clots while they are pregnant, and that is perfectly safe so an extra baby aspirin isn't even in the same ballpark and would be extremely safe.
Now the tingling has basically spread to all my extremities - it comes and goes. I feel like I'm going NUTS! I know that the baby aspirin was at least working last week because when I got blood drawn the ***** started gushing and was dripping down my arm from under the gauze. Dh got the nurse and I said "that's never happened before!" and she said "Are you on baby aspirin? That's what it does." So I don't know - maybe I'm going insane. Or maybe I'm just pregnant! I will call my doc either way tomorrow.
I wouldn't bump it up without talking to someone - do you have any kind of Nurse Hotline at local hospitals? I have read other posts where women had that sensation and then found out they were pregnant...so maybe it's a good sign!
i'd wait to ask, though! If you are taking the baby aspirin, it's doing its job of keeping blood flowing - I've never heard of taking more than 1 (too much aspirin can cause other health problems!)
Good luck and I hope this is your month!!
I think you should call your RE on emergency call.
They always have one .
Good luck,
Miky
