Thank you so much for your helpful comments.
I wish everyone hope and success.
When I saw my RE he said getting pregnant wouldn't be so hard, but that miscarriage rates are very high with my FSH of 15. He said he would be jumping for joy if it was something like 11. So, your FSH of 10 doesn't sound as hopeless as your dr. makes it sound. It is a game of numbers, chance and fate - just hit and miss until that one good egg roles around. My clinics cut off for IVF with your own eggs is 40 though. So, they wouldn't even consider it with your own eggs. With donor eggs success rates are very high with women upwards of 48. There is a way for you to have a baby keep trying!
Get into see an RE ASAP. I am 46. Had first IVF with my eggs at 45. BG is right. They will not try with your eggs usually past 43. My RE did only because like yourself all my test numbers came back GREAT. They also don't like to risk lowering their statistics by doing IVF's on older pts. when the % of success is 1-3% after the age of 43. I went with donor on the 2nd cycle which also failed but are trying again soon.
Best of luck.

GL to you. i am only 36 - but my FSH w/o "help" is around 9-10.5..... I have a 19 mo old and have been TTC since she was born. We wanted them close together. I have done 5 unsuccessful rounds of clomid. the good news for you is that you are in fact getting pregnant. One thing i cant seem to do.... Perhaps see if they will let you do clomid to boost your FSH. that is why i was taking it......GL to you!!!
Thanks for the response. I need to think this over. I may try one more time before seeing a RE. I have access to Columbia Universities fertility clinic.
By the way - I have a friend who concieved by artifiicial insemination at 46 after 2 cycles and has a little boy now. Good luck to you!
FSH of 10 is excellent! My cd 3 FSH this month is 15 , it was 16 last month. My RE thinks I have a fairly good chance of conceiving. I'm 42. Since you have a 2 1/2 yr old and your FSH is just slightly above normal, I'd say your chances are fairly good.
Seeing an RE is a great place to start.
I recently turned 46 and have had two pregnancies and miscarriages in the past 9 months. My FSH is in the 10-11 range. Both times I got pregnant after 2 cycles of trying, so if you chart your ovulation, it may not be that difficult for you to conceive. A bigger problem is egg quality, which means a high miscarriage rate (as you have sadly discovered). I agree with Tina's advice that you should see a Reproductive Endocrinologist immediately for an opinion; don't delay, as the usual cut-off for treatment is your 45th birthday.
10.2 is just barely out of the "normal" range. And, FSH fluctuates from cycle to cycle.
Unfortunately, the older we get, the older our eggs get. I got pg the 1st time just b4 my 41st bday. We lost the baby due to too much strain. Genetic testing came back 100% normal. Since then I have had 2 mc. Most likely they are from bad eggs. It's pretty much a "try, try again" situation. Hopefully, one of the good eggs will be the next one fertilized.
If your insurance covers it(or you can afford it) IVF may be an option. You may want to scheule an appt with an RE (Reproductive Endocronologist) to see what options are best for you.
p.s. Lots of success stories on the 35+ forum :)
