Thanks for that detail... I was wondering, when you said the 1st time worked but yet ittook 3 cycles. I am currently on Lupron only...then will move to the gonol and menopur. So far the injections are not even close to what I though tthey would be...i thought pain pain and more pain, but it really doesn't hurt. The injections that I am worried about is the never ending progestrone. Did you have to take those for ever and ever? I'm sure it was worth it if you did?

Yes, forever and ever and even ever... that is what it seemed like... Lucky my husband was administering them... They hurt, but only a little bit... There is a funny story in there, but that is for another time.

P.S. I never put them in my leg, only had my hubby put them in my hips... I couldn't have jabbed myself...

Tell the story! Tell the story! So where did you put your 1st set of injections for the stimulating part?  My RE has me on 14 days of Lupron in teh leg or stomach ...and then I'll be about 3-5 days with the pen that also goes in leg or stomach and the pegestrone for ever and ever and even ever and HCG in hip area. I dread that one I seriously do cuz that needle makes me cringe....

My dh is a chicken and can not even stand the site of needles so I have someone else desinated to inject those.

Oops... forgot to answer all the questions... I put the Lupron myself around my navel area (about an inch from navel)...

Yes, this our first... Unfortunately, the frozen transfer didn't work... Hopefully not our last baby!

My story... Okay, so I instructed my hubby how to administer the shot... I used a pillow... I showed him how he was to jab it in my hip real fast, then pull back on the needle, blahblahblah...  So there I am, bent over the bathroom sink (watching him behind me via the mirror)... I feel this jabbing pain, so I asked him, "is it in?"  And he quickly says no and shows me the needle in the mirror... Apparently he though he would be nicer and insert the needle slower... Well, he was trying to be so nice and slow that the needle wouldn't break the skin!!!!  He learned quick after that.

We did all my progesterone shots in my hips... After he would give me the injection I would lay down on the bed, on my stomach, and my hubby would put a warm wash cloth on the injection site and would rub it... To help the medicine disperse...

Thanks for sharing the story, maybe it was just me but as I read it I thought your husband had given you his own needle lol...It's good to hear that it happened for you on your 1st try...I am only trying this once so I am confident that God will bless me on this 1st time. Did you have to do any med mixing like the menopur?

I finally am on the lupron and have been on it now for about a week and a half will have an us on the 3rd to see if I should start the next injections.
