Today show paid Suleman nearly $300K for interview (octuplets)

I just read something online that the Today show paid this woman $300k for her interview.  Now that I know the story I am shocked.  No wonder she wanted to remain anonymous, but I guess everyone has a price.  

I bet PEOPLE pays big bucks and I bet that show where they build you a house goes in a builds her a house!   I think she shows poor judgment for putting her children in hazardous sitatuation before they are born, what will do now that they are born.  

I thought people were being harsh at first but now that I know that it was the result of IVF and 6 embryos were transferred, and that there were 6 little ones at home, I think this is wreckless behavior.   I suspect she will continue to exploit her story for the all the money she will get from endorsements.  I really really hope that the companies realize this is an irresponsible act and it should not be praised.  

I hope that stricter laws come as a result of this and that the RE that did this is investigated by the CA board of medical examiner or whatever  licensing agency.

I agree the whole thing is sideways. Did you see why she did it? Because as a child nobody loved her and she wanted something that belonged to her that she would always have to love. Her mom did an interview and said that she was unable to care for the kids she had. That's why the grandma had to live with them to take care of the first 6.

I'm all for having as many kids as you want, but shouldn't this woman have thought about the level of care she is able to provide for the 6 kids before deciding to have another 8?

In the interview she said once school is complete she can care for the kids. Give me a break! Anyone know what a full time nanny staff is going to run her? Let alone medical expenses, food, clothing, etc. Unless her job pays $500k right out of the gate she is just crazy.

I hope the RE loses his medical licence.

I totally agree with you guys.. what is she saying that she was not loved when she was young..looks like her parents are so nice to her. Why would her mother keep her in her own house and take care of those 6 kids..

This woman must be influenced by the tv show Jon& kate plus 8 and thought I will have 6 more. She knew what she was doing. unethical doctors to top all that.
When we are struggling to have kids our RE's dont want to put more than 2 embryos and look what they have done here.

what worries me is she putting a bad twist on IVF.   Already so many people judge if you do IVF and act like if you can't get pregnant you should adopt.   I think that's even the view of the Catholic church...but that's another opinion.  And like it is soo easy to adopt.

6 transferred embryos??!!  The guidelines say 2 embryos for a woman her age!  Her dr should lose his/her rights to practice medicine!
