Today was BETA day

After taking 5 or 6 home pregnancy tests over the past almost-week with all of them coming up positive, I finally had the opportunity to have my beta done today!

Today is 17dpiui and my beta was.........................1008!  

AUGH!  It's so high--I'm freaking out!

I'll go for a repeat Wednesday then, if everything looks good, I'll have an ultrasound at 6 weeks--so about 2 weeks from now!

Yesterday when the nurse called with my beta results she hadnt gotten my progesterone level back from the lab yet.  So I just called them to see what it was...here's the breakdown of my numbers from yesterday (17dpiui)

HCG         1008

Estradiol   1000

progesterone  147

I'm guessing that looks good, but it was my first draw so there;s nothing to compare it to.  I go in tomorrow for a re-draw to make sure hcg is doubling!

They've already called me with my second beta numbers.

They were 1910 today.

I asked if I should be concerned that it didnt double in 48 hours, but the nurse said no--that sometimes when you start with such a high number they dont double as quickly.

Of course, I immediately looked online for some info and found that for HCG levels from 1200-6000 the doubling time is 72-96 hours.  Basically, the higher the numbers get the slower they double.  So, mine is 52 hours and I fall perfectly in that category!

My 1st u/s is scheduled for May 27th!
