Trying to conceive?

Hi all! New to the forums and would like some advice on ovulation! I'm 33 and married a year and a half! I know it might sound mad but how do I know I'm ovulating? Feelings, discharge, pains-what are they like? And the temperature thing? Any advice on how and when I should be doing it?  Thanks a million in advance! D x

Thanks for your help! Haven't noticed any pain or aches but the cervical mucous - would it become watery and runny? Thanks!

Hi,
Most of the women do not have any symptoms that can pin point ovulation. Indirect evidence can be obtained by changes in the cervical mucus or by rise on basal body temperature. Hence to know when you are ovulating, it is better to use either ovulation calendar or ovulation detection kits.
Some women know when they're ovulating, because at midcycle they have some pain - typically a dull ache on either side of the lower abdomen lasting a few hours. The medical word for this is mittelschmerz, from the German, meaning middle pain. Some women also have very light bleeding or spotting during ovulation.
