Wow thanks for the info. I never heard of this & it sounds much cheaper than IVF. If this doesn't work out for me, I will definitely try that.

IUI means Intra Uterine Insemination. The clinic takes a sperm sample from your partner, then does a sperm wash to get the best quality sperm then they will insert it into the uterus with basically a "turkey baster" (not really, but kind of) and hopefully it assists you in getting pregnant b/c you are doing when you are ovulating. They will have you come in for ultrasounds to see if you are ovulating and then schedule you for insemination. You will take an HCG shot to release the egg in time for insemination. Lots of science involved, but has been shown to be very effective. My husband has morphology issues and it really helped us. Good luck!

You would need to probably do some testing for yourself and for your husband. My husband ended up having morphology issues and I have PCOS. Once we got it figured out and went to the fertility specialist we tried IUI twice and by the second try it worked. Good luck! You definitely have options and if the first doctor doesn't seem helpful get another opinion. We were both misdiagnosed the first time we did testing. We were told my husband would need surgery and that we had a 2% chance of conceiving. The clinic we were at were not specializing in fertility issues and misread all the tests. My husband did not need surgery and I should have been diagnosed with PCOS, but wasn't at the time b/c they read the test wrong. Long story, but trust me do your due diligence to get what you need.

Have you tried IUI? If not, you should consider it. AndI agree with seeing a ffertility specialist. It's also not good to get depressed over it. Stress can make it very hard to get pregnant.  I have taken Clomid 4 times and all I got was bad hot flashes. My husband and I have been trying since May. My next step is to go see a specialist and get more info on IUI.

My cousin who has been trying for 4 years did the IUI 2 months ago and she's finally pregnant.

Good luck.
