Trying to have a baby

Hi my name is Kathy and I have been trying to get pregnant for months now. I had have a 5 year old and he is so tired of being the only child. He tells me every day that he wants a brother or sister he is lonely. I have irregular period it comes when it wants to. I havent see it since april and the Dr. said it's normal. I'm not fertile or ovulating for nothing in the world it been five years. I dont know what else to do. Some co-workers did tell me about the Geritol I dont know if it will work for me because I have irregular period, I'm not getting my cycle at all. Does anyone know what should I do?

Yes...find another doctor!!! It's definitely NOT normal to have cycles that last for five months! If you haven't had your period since April, chances are you're not ovulating, and if so, you need to see a doctor who can help you ovulate. They might recommend something like clomid, which is a pill you take for five days in the beginning of your cycle, or they may suggest something else...it all just depends on your situation. But I would definitely consider finding another doctor!

A girl on here and I were just talking about taking Geritol. I went and bought a bottle yestrday and DH and I are going to start taking it tonight. Even if it's not "a baby in a bottle" like they say at least I'm getting my vitamins. I think I would check with a different DR if you haven't had a period since April. How long have you been trying?

I've been trying for then six months now. The only way my cycle comes is if I take birth control and that's what the Dr. recommended and it did work, but if i'm trying to have a baby I cant be on birth control right? I will look into trying to find another Dr. Thank you guys for the advice.
