Tubes blocked. Want advice on either IVF or unblocked tubes.

Okay so I have been trying to get pregnant for awhile now. It never worked so I finally scheduled an appointment to check my infertility. Come to find out after an HSG my tubes are blocked. My doctor told me that I should remove my tubes and start on IVF. However, I seen online that women have unblocked their tubes. To tell you the truth that is more comforting than to be told I needed to take my tubes out and the only way I would be able to get pregnant after that would be IVF. It was so overwhelming. So, I want advice from people who have actually been through this. I know there's a larger chance for an ectopic pregnancy, but has anyone had good results from unblocking their tubes? I would also like to hear from anyone who had a bad result from it. Anyone dealing with IVF please tell me your results as well. Thank you guys  so much for your time. I really appreciate it.
