UTI delaying my period? or have we finally concieved?

my periods are very regular, app 27days and i had a uti and had it treated with nitrofortion (think thats the spelling).. it cleared up when the anti bi finished and i forgot about it... anywho my period is now 3 days late? ive read that the anti bi's i was taking doesnt affect your period; so could the uti?

me and my patner are trying to concieve (conceive) and i will be takinig a test soon -hopefully a positive - going to prolong the test to avoid dissapointment - AGAIN; but for now i just would like to no if the uti can affect my period as i keep finding contradting answers on the net..

I don't think the UTI itself could delay your period...but if you've had a lot of stress this month (because of the UTI or something else) that could delay your ovulation and therefore also your period. But hopefully you're pregnant! Best of luck!
