Well what do you know, that RE isn't a total idiot after all :). In all honesty, I know he is the best in his field in this area, he is just SUCH a bad communicator. Anyway, on to the good news!!!!
I have a big fat juicy follie on my left ovary. YAY the side with the tube!! I've been opking every day and no LH
surge as of this morning, so that is good. I HCG trigger this evening and go in for IUI on Monday. BD'ed with preseed yesterday, and will again this evening.
Even tho he took me off of the clomid my endometrium is still too thin (boarder line). Not TOO thin, but thinner than the minimum they like to see. He gave me a shot of E2 to try to thicken it up by Monday. He is going to give me another u/s the morning of IUI to see if it has thickened up at all.
YAY, YAY, YAY, HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY If oklahoma wasn't so flat, I'd run to the nearest hill top and shout it out!! YAY!!
is on the left side this time : ) I am about ready too, I should ovulate on Wednesdayish, I am hoping the SHG did the trick!! I am sure that your endo will build up, everything else is falling into place, I am sure that will too!!!
I'm SOOOO excited for you!!! That's wonderful news! I really hope things work out this month!
I was wondering - how can they tell how thick your lining is? Is it through u/s??? I'm assuming it is! I'm going for one on Tues, which will hopefully be a day or two before O, but I thought they were only going to be looking at the follicles
. If the lining is too thin at that point, will it be too late? There is a chance I might not O until 3 days later too - so by the sounds of what they're doing for you, that may be enough time. What should I ask them to do if it is too thin? Ya know, by the time my OB gets the results and he gets around to getting back to me, I will have probably O'd already! (at least I'm hoping the clomid works this month and I O) He led me to believe that it was better to keep up with consecutive treatments - with my mono this month, I would've WELCOMED a break! Now I'm kinda pissed. I did take a cycle off (which ended up being 45 days so it was a month and a half) between the first and second times I did it, so this really is only my 3rd consecutive cycle, but now I'm worried. I think I'll call Monday and give him the heads
Third times a charm! Think thick, lol. Does eating red meat help thicken the lining? Eat a steak just in case, hehe. I'm praying every day, I hope this one works!
to try to thicken it up. I got the estrogen shot the same day as my trigger shot so hopefully that will be enough time. I'll know more after my u/s on Monday. From what I've been reading, they like it to be at least 8mm by O. Mine was 5mm two days before O. If it is less than 5 mm at O, I think that might mean premenopausal but I'm not sure. In the brief reading I was doing on it the term premenopausal kept popping up. Gosh, I certainly hope not tho. I'm only 36.
I'm really not going to worry about it. We're going forward with IUI on Monday no matter what. I think the purpose of the u/s on monday is for just incase I don't get bfp. So we'll know what to do or not do next cycle. He wants to see if the estrogen shot is working.
Good luck to you on Tuesday. And of course let us know how it goes. Our tww paths will be crossing.
Thanks everyone. I appreciate all the luck and support!!! I might just conceive in a couple of days?!?!!? One good thing about not being on clomid this cycle, is if I get pg symptoms, it won't be clomid side effects. :)
Great news!!! Good luck!! My lining was thin too - 6mm but it was not thin enough to cancel the cycle they said. I did not get an e2 shot but did go on prometrium after ovulation which I have read can also help prepare the lining. I got preggers this cycle so I guess it works!! Maybe you could mention that to your doctor!! Best of luck!! Sticky baby dust!!!
I'm not sure if this is a natural occurence for me, or just a side effect of the clomid. I'm not on clomid this cycle but I've the effects can last for up to 60 days after you take it.
On Monday I'll find out if the e2 shot made much difference. It is confusing to me because my AFs are not light. Maybe it just builds up later in my cycle. who knows??!!
