Update with poss Eptopic pg and hcg results...good news?
Hi girls, well i just got my hcg levels in,they were at 3453,yeah.. which have more than doubled. On friday the 16th they were at 1565.
The doctors seem to think this is good, i have some more bloods tommorrow just to make sure they are doubling, they expect them to be at the 6300 ish mark.
They will monitor me tommorrow and have rebooked a scan for the 28th of Feb. They said as long as i feel ok, they see no problem with this and of course in the mean time i feel any thing wrong to go stright in.
I feel very possitive about this, my levels were on boarder line on fri and i think thats why they did not see my little bean.
But hopefully they will next Wed?

Don't give up, it says on that site that 72 hrs is fine! Theres ladys on here all the time saying what you saying and then sure enough at 8 wks it's all been ok.

They was a lady on here the other day saying that the hb had stopped, they went to confirm it on a second scan, but had given up , they were booking her d&c and then they found it? scary!
The sac is a really good sign, when to you have another u/s?
I haven't seen anything yet, not even a sac, but i have not had an u/s since last fri and my next one is is next wed. Ithought it be better waiting, so i didn't get upset everytime i didn't see something. But now the wait is killing me, one whole wk today.I was having pains last night and now i can't even tell weather they are normal or not? But they were the same as my m/c? I didn't have any stabbing pains however, which has happened with my m/c's and the bleeding doesn't start for two wks after they said the fetus died,and it never bleeding, just brownish dischage.
God...i know how you are feeling, i am so anxious, i i prob caursing myself all these pains?

Well...i have just finaly spoken to my doctor. She said almost what you have just said. They did not check for progesterone. She said they only do this if my hcg numbers were not doubling. They would check it if my numbers hovered and certinly if they declined. Of course declining numbers are a no hope.
She said to me, that even though the machines NORMALLY detect a pg from levels of 1500, it was not always the case?I might have been 5wk 2days when first scan took place or 5wk 6days.It was more the other doctors who suspected a Eptopic. They do how ever have to be courious. She thinks that it all depends my my hcg numbers, they are more that doubling, so that is good and with the scan showing no signs of swelling in the tubes or anywhere else out side the womb and the thickness of my lining and the overall my health looks good, then to wait. Of course it all really depends on next wk scan, but if she was concerned or me then i was to go stright in.

I think if there going up then thats good..right? Your doc seems to be quick to judge? he said it looked eptopic the other day and said no sac would appear and it did, those few days do make a difference. You are feeling well within yourself...right? no stabbing pains? or spotting?

Thanks for that link! I wish it would turn out ok, yet my RE sounds so positive that it is a failing pregnancy. I don't have any cramps, no bleeding, nothing. My numbers went up to 3000, so yes they doulbed but in 3 days not 2 so that's why he is saying it won't work :-(
thanks for the websites! I guess I'd be a little more optomistic but my RE is convinced it's not viable. I really wish it would "take off" and start doubling every 2 days instead of 3 :-(

Well, the jury is still out as to whether progesterone supplements really help or not. Generally speaking, low progesterone is a RESULT of an abnormal pregnancy, and not the cause. But, low progesterone is a common symptom of ectopics. When I had mine, my level was less than 4, so the dr. immediately suspected something was wrong.
Hi....Did your doc call with your hgc numbers yet? Just wanted you to check this link out, about hcg numbers not quite doubling? all seem possitive.(i think you only have to worry, if numbers hover or start to decrease) I just wondered a lady had asked if my progesterone levels were checked, did they check yours, when they suspected Eptopic, what did they say about that?

Im not sure, we talked about progesterone before the scan was done and she said that there research has proved that taking any supplements for this is not effective.
I have read on here that woman swear by it and that is why i asked the doctor about it, but she quickly ended that?
They did say that my lining looked thick, when i had the scan, but they seemed more intrested about my hgc numbers doubling.
I had no one to talk to after the scan, my appointment at the misscarridge clinic was at 10.30am and by the time i was suffeled from pillow to post it was 3pm! The clinic had closed and my doctors had gone?
I know my doctor reviews my results and that is what she felt was best, i have been monitored for any rupture signs, all has been ok.
I have left 3 messagers with my doc all ready, as i concered that 2 other docs said i should be taking asprin, but i awaiting the blood clotting results and i don't wait to take things if i shouldn't? I am concerened as my m/c are happening later and later, the last one everything looked ok the HB was strong at 8wks and the it was gone at 11wks?

Thats how they do things in the UK, they never tell you the results, unless they suspect a problem.

I know that call?? My were at 1565, so i was only 65 more. It's not that much? Hopefully you will get a nice supprise and they will have more than doubled!

Well I'm still waiting for them to call with the results. I highly doubt mine will be that high as they were only 1500 on Friday and mine don't seem to be doubling like yours ;-(
He said that if the pregnancy isn't viable then they may even start to drop which then would mean the miscarriage is happening.
I wish they'd hurry up and call me.

Well, thats great news! I wouldn't worry about HOW the hcg levels are going up? they are going up ...right.
I should think your levels should be about 4695 or just above? Just going by how my levels are going up and they were pacticaly the same as mine on fri.
Im not an expert, just a rough estimate. Why does it matter how they go up?
What has your doc surgested about carring on the pg?
I think as long as your not experiencing any cramping or dischage/bleeding, then there is no need for concern.
There have been so many storys on here, where they have said to terminate becaurse of how there levels are going up and that nothing but the sac being there and then by 8 wks everything is there and measuring spot on.
They thought the sac wasn't going to there at one stage and now it is?

Well I'm back. It isn't ectopic thank god as they saw the sac in my uterus. The only problem is that he still doesn't think it is viable due to the way my hcg levels are going. He took another hcg test today and will call me in a little while.
Thanks girls. I am either 6wks and 2days or 5wks and 5days.(ish- thats based on my lmp and my opk) I had a scan on friday and they saw nothing, not even a sac. They put this with my hcg level taken the previous wk and alittle bleeding 2days after i got my BFP and suspected Eptopic PG.
