good morning ladys and happy friday. so i did order vitex through mother nature and it was shipped yesterday but since my cycle stoped last thurs i wanted to start taking them asap!!! so i went to a general stor and bought some but it was pricey. MY question is how long does it take to get into your system??? i took two yesterday and another two today..

So, is your baby okay?  Where did you read that Vitex causes birth defects so I can read it as well?  I just purchased Vitex and will receive it next week and that is when I plan on starting.

I bought Vitex yesterday as well, but I ordered mine through amazon..it cost me more to have it shipped...:0(

Anyway, I'm really excited to start using it...it should be here early next week.  Good luck.

oh im not sure i actually asked about ovulex and she told me about vitex. i went dwn and ordered some through mother nature.com she bought hers from ebay so who knows. i couldnt wait because i didnt know when you should start taking it so i went to a local health place and bought some to hole me over. i want to know when will it kick in

It just showed up like that when i typed VITEX on e-bay......hmmmm, pricey huh??? how much? mine was like 6 or 7 bucks with shipping and all!......i think they say that it takes about 2 to 3 months to 'regulate' your system, but mine was whithin a matter of days!....i think that was it cuz it made me O way sooner than expected.....11! whereas before was 15!....

I haven't had regular AFs since my m/c in late March.  At six and half weeks after my D&C I started getting worried that I would never see AF again, so I took Vitex.  The following day I started cramping and two days after that I got my AF.  Then, I threw the Vitex in the trash because I developed a terrible allergy.  It ended up being something else.  Anyway, like six weeks later I still hadn't seen AF again, so I started Vitex again.  The following day I started AF cramps, but nothing happened for two weeks.  I do believe Vitex is affective.  I was advised to take it with my morning meal.  Also, there is some evidence that Vitex causes birth defects so be careful.  Unfortunately, I took Vitex before I knew I was pregnant.
