Vanishing Twin Syndrome?

Hello. As some of you may know  I found out I was pregnant with twins 2 weeks ago. This was confirmed by U/S @ 6 weeks 4 days. We saw both heartbeats. Today I had my 2nd U/S @ 8weeks 4 days and Dr said one of the babies stopped growing @ 6 weeks 6 days. Surviving baby is doing fine and we saw baby move. I am very sad and confused. I am also very thankful that other baby is fine. Would this have any effect on my other baby?
Did anyone experience this?

I have not experienced this, but I have a friend who just did.  She did IVF and was pg with twins.  Around 7 or 8 weeks she also found out that one had stopped growing.  However, this did not effect the other baby.  She actually just delivered a healthy boy last week!!  So I think you should be ok.  So sorry to hear!!  I pray that your one little one will be strong and healthy.

I am doing actually really well. Thanks for asking. I have had the past 5months to clear my head and focus on other things than ttc.  I am now at the beginning of my FET.  I am starting lupron and prometrium tomorrow.  Then after I have af at end of december, I will start all the meds to build up utrine lining.  My transfer should be on January 29th. (my doctor is going to be out of town, so that's why i have to wait so long).  I am much more at ease this time around and have been doing acupuncture for a month now.  I plan to continue that until the transfer. I have 4 embies, will thaw all 4 and hope for 3 good ones!! I have a good feeling, my doctor is being very positive, and my acupuncturist said he definately thinks this is it for me!! So we shall she.   I was so glad when i heard about your pg!! Very exciting.
