Vasectomy reversal

My husband had a vasectomy about 12 years ago.  Would a reversal be likely to be successful?  He is hesitant to see a doctor because an internet source told him that after 8-10 years it was very unlikely to be successful, but a friend told me that was outdated.

It's been a while, but there was a poster here that did the reversal after many yrs and she got pg within 3 months! I don't know if that's typical, probably not. But, it did happen for her :)
