Call your GP and ask them to do a blood test.

Thanks for all your replies. 3 tests have shown very faint positives, 1 was negative so i have accepted that it is not meant to be. The only thing driving me crazy is my test date was 24th Dec, nearly a week later and still no af. This whole IVF process really messes with your head.

Did you find out yet?  Mine were faint, too, and I'm positive.  MY RE is keeping me on progesterone for the whole first trimester.  Until you know for sure, I'd still take your meds.  It's weird that the clinic doesn't require the beta test....It stinks that they were closed for the holidays.  I have my nurse's personal cell number for after hours concerns.  I wish your clinic did the same thing for you.

They are appearing inside the required time but you really have to look very closely to see them. The clinic give you a urine test and tell you to do the test 14 days after ET. I had a day 2 transfer, they usually only do day 2 or 3 transfer  and everyone tests 14 days after ET. The clinic are closed for the christmas period so dont know what to do.
Thanks for replying.

are the lines appearing during the stated time for the test you are using?
evap lines happen way outside that time window.
if they do not do blood hcg testing, how do they make the determination if your cycle worked or not? do they ask you to do a urine test on certain days?
i have just never heard of a clinc that does IVF that does not do blood hcg testing....

I dont have a blood test scheduled, my clinic doesnt do a beta hcg. I had a positive test last year but then miscarried at 10 weeks and these were very clear but the 2 i have done now are extremely faint. Am concerned they are maybe evaporation lines. Really afraid to get my hopes up.

Do not stop any medications without the direction of your doctor.
and why would you think a faint POSITIVE is a negative test?
when is your blood test scheduled for?
a positive test is a good thing this far out, so hopefully it means a viable pregnancy.
