Hi i am 23 years old. Have regular periods every 28-30 days, but have been trying to get pregnant since june 07. Unable to get pregnant. Went to the doctor this week because this month i was 6 days late and only had my period for 2 days and normally is 4-5 days long. I ws feeling very tired and also was throwing up a lot. I did 3 tests at home all said negative. So when i went to the doctor they did not do blood work to see if i was pregnant because i had a change in health coverage and im in the waiting process for my new health coverageto begin will have have coveage at the end of this month (thankfully) They did test my hemoglobin
and iron and it was low. gave me iron pills and advised me to use the ovulation kits for the next two months. So i have been for the last week and i only get one line. I should be ovulating this week and when i test i dont see anything in the test result area of the test. Is this normal. Does this mean that I am not ovulating at all. Does it mean I could be pregnant? She said that If I dont get in the next two months that she will start me on Clomid. Do you think that this will help me? My fiancee already has children and i feel like I am not normal. I hate myself for not being able to get pregnant. I am young and dont understand why it is so hard for us? thanks for listening.
Have you taken another HPT (home pregnancy test)? to see if your pregnant?? I would try that and if its negative.. then continue the OPK's.. not everyone will get a positive on the OPK's test in the afternoons - thats when your LH
therefore your more likely to get a positive.. if no periods stil then i'd go back to your doctor and if you have a negative blood test then, they can start you on progesterone that will Jump start your period.. Clomid helps people ovulate, if you are having irregular cycles you might not be ovulating.. it does help lots of people achieve pregnancy! GOOD LUCK!
I get my periods every month too but not ovulating regularly. I do but not all the time. so my OB put me on 50mg clomid. So far this is my third round. It does help alot of people get pregnant. the sure thing to do to find out if you Ovulate on your own is getting a progesterone test at CD21. I did that prior to clomid that's why they found out that I do not Ovulate on my own all the time. OPK's usually give different results. I remember using the expensive kind the one that comes with plastic handle. I never got a line darker than the control line and it says there in the package that you must get a darker line as a positive result. I never get that but my blood test confirms that I did Ovulate because I keep getting 65 and 45's on clomid. Maybe try taking OPK's at different times of the day. It can get expensive so try buying some online like 89cents a stick but you have to collect urine
Take one at 2pm 6pm and 8pm and try to hold your pee for at least three hours and do not drink till you get your test done.
hope this info helps. Good luck to you and baby dust... YOU are perfectly fine. It just takes time for women like us to get pregnant but we will get there..... baby dust to all
Welcome to the young 20-somethings that can't get pregnant. It really sucks!! I also am sort of in the same boat you are. I'm doing IUI's because my husband had a vasectomy
and we are using a donor. I was put through all the tests that came out fine and still after 6 IUIs with clomid I haven't gotten pregnant..not even a little bit. If I were you I would try to use the OPKs that are digital
