We are all Women of Strength!

A Strong Woman VS. A Woman Of Strength

A strong woman works out everyday to keep her body in shape…
But a woman of strength builds relationships to keep her soul in shape.

A strong woman isn't afraid of anything…
But a woman of strength shows courage in the midst of fear.

A strong woman won't let anyone get the better of her…
But a woman of strength gives the best of herself to everyone.

A strong woman makes mistakes and avoids the same in the future…
A woman of strength realiizes life's mistakes can also be unexpected blessings and capitalizes on them.

A strong woman wears a look of confidence on her face…
But a woman of strength wears grace.

A strong woman has faith that she is strong enough for the journey…
But a woman of strength has faith that it is in the journey that she will become strong.

I was just wondering if I can join this thread?

A little history.

I am 26, DH is 35. We have been trying for a long time. At first I didn't have any health insurnace, so we just tried on our own ( about 3 1/2 years) Then after we got married and I got insurnace, we have been trying with the help of drs, ( about 2 1/2 years) And go figure my insurance doesn't cover infertility treatments, I wish I knew that before waiting the previous 3 1/2 years.!
So a total of 6 years. I have PCOS, and that is about it. We have only had 1 BFP and that was in Oct. 2006, after being put on metfornin, but ending in a M/C a few days after finding out.

Things that we have had done.... I was on clomid for 5 months, and nothing. Tried 1 IUI. DH had S/A and it was 183 million. I had an HSG in 2007 and it was clear. I have changed Drs, being with the other one for 2 years and them not trying to figure out why it's not happening, they just acted as if they didn't care. So after changing drs, I just recently had a D&C, Lap and HSG and everything was fine. I go back and see her for my update after my surgery on Dec 4th. She has scheduled me an appt to an RE, for Jan.  Well this is long enough. Good Luck Ladies!!

Oh, Arlothslug! I'm just so sorry you are going through all this! :( Please don't blame yourself for Arlo passing away! (( HUGS)) It's hard enough, and blaming yourself won't help. I'm just so sorry, I could sit here any cry! :( I understand the need for you to take a step back from "full force" ttc, but at least you are willing to try naturally! And you never know, you may get a great suprise! Don't worry about your history, there's been plenty of girls on here that go through all these fertility treatments, get fed up with it, and find out they are pregnant b/c they're not so stressed about it! I know when we're ttc, that's all we think about! Baby, baby, baby... that's all we have on our brains! It's hard when your life revolves around 2 week waits! I feel like that's all we look forward too, and then we get upset when af shows, and start a whole new cycle just to wait again for the 2 week wait! It's exhausting, but it'll be so worth it when we do finally get pregnant! Hang in there, and please don't stay gone too long! Maybe a little break is all you need, and then you'll be back with us full time! Remember, I went through the same thing, and guess who came crawling back! :) I missed you all too much to stay gone! Take time to heal, and come back when you're ready! Until then, you'll stay in my thoughts! (( Hugs))

Hi ladies - I am sorry I have been offline - it has been a hard few weeks, but I wanted to pop in and thank you all for your well wishes and support about Arlo. It was pancreatic cancer - very sudden and well, unexpected . .  . he was only 11 and a very well loved house cat - I keep thinking we could have done something and am angry that I have been so consumed by TTC that maybe I did not notice, but I don't think there was anything . . . .It basically S U C K S and I am tired of feeling sorry for myself.  Was trying to stay away, b.c not feeling so positive right now - but trying.

We decided to take a long break from the TTC world - still waiting on adoption - though the birth mother chose differently on the pending one.  If we "TTC" again, it won't be until February - for now, it will be the natural way and some prayers.  I am not too confident, given our history.

Mommyin09 - I did not realize that Penny had the same diagnosis.  Arlo was not sick until Wed (that we noticed - I feel rotten that I have gotten all caught up in the TTC world that I did not notice my sick cat - but then, I understand that really nothing can be done for Pancreatic Cancer).

Candie:  At least the Steelers beat the Patriots!  (sorry Leighanne ;-) - I have been staying away too . . . and sending you support.

Stacey: I am glad you started the injectiuons - it is  very exciting, isn't it?  I hope your MIL feels better. I can't believe you are so close to your transfer . . .

LinaG:  I hope everything is ok - I have not been checking in so much, but got really concerned when I read about your kidneys.

Luvkayln:  I am excited to see the pics too!  It sounds beautiful.  Happy Birthday a little early - I hope it is an amazing year!

Mrspace:  Welcome!

Kenyan:  I hope you are doing ok - I have not read too much, but am not sure where you are - anyway, just thinking about you.

I may stay away a bit more - but will try and keep up with you all - sending karma and support to all!
