I feel better today, had ER. Just a little pain on my left side, got 17 out of 20, not bad for a 43 almost 44 year old, i mean Young...thanks for all your advice!
Melanie
Prior to retrieval I was cramping pretty badly and generally felt really "full," which made sense since they retrieved 30 eggs!
Thanks so much for you advice, I was wondering if you had any symptoms prior to retrieval?
Yep, same with me, I was so terribly bloated that I looked pregnant lol :) I am 5 weeks pregnant now, and I just noticed the bloating decreasing ugh... I've been drinking tons of Gatorade, which is supposed to help, so try that! Also, watch out for other symptoms like nausea, vomiting etc. as these may be symptoms of OHSS! Best wishes :)
Yes you can gain weight from the meds and specially after the thrigger shot, You start getting bloated, increase appetite and loook like you are 3 months pregnant. I gained like 10 lb in 2 months from ivf and cause of my PCOS i canoot get rid of it easily. And if you're gonna get pregnant it is even worse, cause the weight will increase. Just try to exersize if it is possible so the weight will not be so bad.
I put on about 3-4 ib from ivf, don't know if it was from trigger or all the stimm medication i was on i.e menopur and buserelin, I know it was from them or the pregnyl trigger shot as after egg transfer my weight went back to normal within couple days, so it is the medication.x
It also makes me feel bloated AND increases my appetite so yes, I would say it makes me put on a few pounds!
I don't know if I actually gained weight but I was so bloated, I looked about 3 mos pregnant. The bloat lasted for like 2 weeks
