Weird AF after D & C

Hi! Ok so, I started spotting a little on Tuesday and then Wednesday i started bleeding a medium flow. Then yesterday (thursday) morning BAM! It was very heavy, but then all of a sudden it stopped last night. I havent bled in over 12 hours now and it seems weird that i would only have a 2 day period. The other thing is I spotted all day Tuesday, and I never spot like that before AF. Totally weird. One other thing i will mention (and i dont know if its related or not) But Tuesday before I started spotting I had a pap smear, so naturally I thought the reason I was spotting was because of the pap smear, but then on Wednesday when I was still bleeding i figured I had started AF. So anyway, my period is usually at least 4 or 5 days, if not longer...and I have heard that AF after miscarrige/d & c is usually alot heavier than normal and alot of times it lasts even longer. Is this normal for me to have a shorter AF now??? Thanks in advance.

I forgot to add that I had my D & C on feb 18th and this was my first AF since i miscarried. Thanks

I experienced the same thing. I had heard the first AF after miscarriage was heavier and longer, but mine was not. I spotted for two days, which I never do. Then bleeding completly stopped. Then I bled heavily for two days, then it abruptly stopped about 6 hours later.. bam, just like that no blood. I dont think it is wierd. I think that after a d&c your first period is just wierd, whether that be heavier or lighter... just wierd. Anyway, two weeks later I ovulated now im in my tww, so dont worry too much.  GOOD LUCK!!

I've been having weird AF too after my m/c but no D & C.  I think it's just hormones.  My last cycles have been very weird and short.  The first one was totally light and really bizarre, just showed up on TP.

After my m/c in Feb, I read ALOT and part of what I read was that the first cycle can be really heavy OR light.   So you may be just be one of the light ones.   Look on the bright side, it's here and you can start looking to the next time you'll try.  Good Luck!
