Went to ER for Pelvic Pain

Well, I ended up going to the ER last night because of the pelvic pain I've been having and the frequent urination (without pain).  I thought I'd better go so that I don't risk anything happening to my uterus or kidneys or whatever.  Well, they tested my urine for a UTI and they said they didn't see anything.  Then they did a pelvic exam and they have to send off the results and it could be either a UTI or a pelvic/cervical infection because when she touched my cervix I felt a little pain.  I had no abnormal discharge, no odor or anything.  I was amazed that the urine was clean for UTI and the doctor was amazed because my symptoms sound just like that.  I told her about the cranberry tablets and cranberry juice I drank myself silly with and whether or not that could interfere with the results.  She said they still probably would have seen some trace of something.   I ended up having to take a bunch of antibiotics and a booty-shot that treats both Chlamydia(sp), Gonorrhea and UTI (just in case).  I felt so dirty!!!  Of course I'm on pins and needles waiting on these results but I won't know till a couple of days.  You know I had to start looking cross-eyed at DH!!  I've been having these same pelvic pains for over a year but not as bad, and I always tested clean for STD's so I'm hoping it's just Bacterial Vaginosis that made it's way up the cervix.  I don't think that's good either because I know that can cause infertility also.  Of course there is no BDing until the results, just in case it's the worst case scenario and DH would need to be treated.  Until I find out these results, BDing is the last thing on my mind anyway.

But I guess that would explain my higher than normal temps.  Wish me luck, better yet, wish DH luck LOL.

Dang it!! I feel for you!! I hope that everything comes back just fine. I'm sure it will. My daughter had a UTI and they didn't find out for a couple days. So hopefully iy's just that. Eat lots of Blueberries!! They are great for a UTI. And great anyways! Yummy!!  I will be thinking of you!! Good Luck to the both of you!! lol

You ladies are great.  I needed to vent and you know you can't share things like this with your girlfriends/family and that's why I'm so glad I can get support from you all.  I'll be blueberry shopping on my lunchbreak today!!  Uhhhh.......I'll be right back, running to the ladies room AGAIN LOL  :-)

Wow, that must have been painful for you to go to the ER.  I'm sorry you are having to deal with this.  Hopefully it will be a quick and easy fix.

Thanks Ladies!  Yeah, the pain was getting pretty scary, especially when yesterday I thought I felt pinches where it seems the fallopian tube would be.  I said no way am I risking losing my tubes or anything.  My thoughts went from ectopic pregnancy to a horribly inflamed pelvic area.  I feel okay today just still running to the loo and my bottom is still sore from the shot.  At least I haven't been having the nausea today (YET) as I've had all along.  I thought the nausea came from the prenatals so I stopped taking them but I guess it was from the infection.
