What are our chances of success with FET (frozen embryo transfer)?

Friday we will be taking our third crack at this process. We will be transferring beautiful looking frozen embryos. We have not talked with anyone who has had success with the frozen transfers. Is there anyone out there who has had success? I hope it works.

What can we expect? We have three really good quality embryos and 2 ok quality.

How many embryos have people transferred?

This is the first time we will be transferring blastocysts. We have never had blastocysts developed by day 5. We have transferred morulas before... Both time resulting in negatives....

like everything else it varies from clicnic to clinic and individuala to individual. I have done so far about 3 FET with no success getting ready this month for a 4th one so will see what happens.

i had 3 fresh cycles of IVF with no success.
Last october we did FET and transfered 3 very good embryos. Became pregnant with twins. one of the babies stoped growing at 6 weeks. now i have beautiful 3 month old baby boy. I think FETworks because there is less stress involved.
good luck.

Great question.
I have only had success with Frozen embies.

In Dec 2005-My sister donated 35 eggs to me. 21 fertilized. They transferred 3 fresh embies 2 days later and froze the rest. That attempt failed.
Feb 2006-4 frozen embies transferred. Gave birth to one healhy son in Oct 06.
Jul 2008-IVF of 3 frozen embies. M/C(chemical preg) in Aug 08
Sep 2008-IVF of 4 frozen embies. Had u/s today, saw heartbeat and am currently pregnant with 1 baby. Due June 2nd 09.

Please don't fret the FET. It may work better for you. Good luck!!!!

Success rates for FET (just like for ivf in general) vary from clinic to clinic.  You should ask your dr about success rate for your clinic.  You may find those stats on their website.
Good luck!  I hope FET works for you.
