I had my retrieval yesterday. I still have slight cramping and pain . Is that normal? I am taking tylenol every hours for the pain. I am worried its hyperstimulation and they might not do the transfer. What are the other signs of hyperstimulation?
Maria.. Cramping and pain are actually normal after retreival (as long as its bearable). The signs you really need to watch out for are:
Gaining more than 2 lbs. in one day.. severe bloating... having trouble breathing.. SEVERE ovarian
pain. If you look like you're already 9 months pregnant, then it's time to call your RE. But, if you're concerned I would call them anyway. Good luck with your transfer!
after 5day . But my Dr prescribed pain killers for 2 days after the retrieval said it was normal to feel cramps. Then the pain went away and when we did our 1st IVF I experienced again cramping but I was told it was implantation. Then with my Beta's dropping down was told I was going to have a natural miscarriage
and should feel cramps until I have my period back....so all I felt with my 1st IVF was cramps!
I wish you all the luck and keep us posted. I guess that's your 2nd attempt?
Yes this is my second IVF cycle. They retrieved 18 eggs and doctor said they would do half ICSI and half conventional way. I just got a call from the nurse saying 7 fertilized conventional way and only 2 fertilized ICSI. I dont understand why would doctor say half and half. I feel the conventional way was much better. They froze the two ICSI ones and they have 7 outside. should see how they are going to do by tomorrow.
I am sorry to hear abut what you are going through. Take care.
