What cycle day do they check your follicles?

Just wondering how many days in your cycle your doctor has you come in for a vaginal ultrasound to check the size of your follicles?

It depends....what medication are you on?  With injections you will go in for several ultrasounds and with clomid/femara you have fewer.

I'm on Clomid and the norm. is for me to go in on Day 3 to get a baseline and then again a week later on Day 10.  Both times for this cycle and last cycle, I had a mature follicle by that point so for this next cycle it's probable that I'll go in on Day 9 instead.  If you do not have a mature follicle a week after your baseline, they will have you come back based on the measurement of your follicle(s) and how much it/they will grow per day.

agree with others. day 3 and 10 with just clomid or nothing at all. day 3, 7 and 10 with injectibles to make sure you do not over-stimulate.

OK, so last month I was on Clomid, on 10/21 I went in for an ultrasound and they could see my follicles were overstimulated.  There was one in my right ovary that was HUGE it was taking over the screen. That is why I had to come in b/c I was in so much pain.  So, they did the pelvic and could tell something was up.  So then they did the vaginal ultrasound.

So, this time they want me to come in around cycle day 27.... she wants to make sure that my follicles have shrunk back down to normal size after being overstimulated before they put me back on Clomid.... so that puts me at the end of the month.  

Any advice? This month is no Clomid, so I'm not 100% sure when I am going to ovulate.  Last 2 months I was on it, it was around day 21 (taking 50 mg days 5-9).  If my follicles are growing just fine on their own, is it possible I will ovulate and get pregnant?

What I was hoping is that they would have me come in earlier during my cycle, check the follicles, and give me the HCG injection to make me ovulate.
