Hi Sobie;

I'm on my first cycle of Clomid (CCCT) 100 mg, days 5-9.  I was told I do not ovulate consistently.  I am 37 and have a 3 year old son.  We have been TTC #2 for about the same amount of time as you; we had no problems conceiving our first child (got pregnant immediately after stopping bc pills).  

I just started taking OPK's on CD9 and yesterday (CD17) I got a positive result.  We have been BD'ing off and on since CD9, making sure to do the dance last night, this morning, tonight and will continue to BD for the next 4 or 5 days.

I did not have any side effects from the clomid other than dull headaches for which I took Tylenol.  I did not experience the severe mood swings or hot flashes that I had read about, which I rejoiced in!  I may have been a little moody, but nothing worse than mild PMS.

Hi Sadie, I am also like yourself trying for #2.  My hubby and I have a 4 yr old that we concieved with no problem!!  I am on CD16  clomid 100mg cd 3-7 (first round).  I think im about to O in the next day or so so my dh and I have been baby dancin all week and will keep it up for next week also!!  Hoping you get your BFP!!!!!!!!

Welcome glad to have you apart of our family.
thats is great to hear that you had no bad effects from clomid. I know its hard when trying to have a baby when its not in your power but we have to stand tall and have faith because it will happen.

Good luck to you ladies, too.  It's a crazy journey - I'm trying not to "stress out" about it and to be thankful with the one child I have; God willing we will be blessed with another.  I was talking to a friend of mine who had both of her children while on Clomid.  She didn't have any side effects, either and was pregnant in one month with one child and in two months with the other.  I hope we all have that happy ending, too.

May I ask, and I hope it's not too personal, what were your dosages for round one and two on Clomid?  Have you had any side effects from it?

My first round was 100mg cd 3-7 and also took provera to bring on AF.  I was really lucky and had no side effects at all until i got cramping about cd 15 (I think i was about to O)  other than that i was okay.

my first rounds were 50mg cd3-7 had hot flashes and bad migranes (migraines).
my second round was up to 100mg cd3-7 had no side effects at all
my last round was up to 150mg cd3-7 I had hot flashes after I was done with clomid and vision problems of the last two pills of clomid.
I took mine at night before bed so I would not have the side effects hit me hard.
first two times I had to take provea to bring AF the last one came on her own.

before this year I was on and off clomid but I was always on 50mg cd 5-9
when the ending of last year that DH said he was ready to have a baby we went out to see an RE and he took me in the right path. I thank him for helping me and the money spent is all worth it.

I just returned from the RE and she upped my dosage to 150 mg to start days 4-9 (today).  Guess my estradiol levels were not up high enough when I took the CCCT (clomid challenge) and she feels I'm probably able to handle the extra dosage which should help my body build up enough estradiol levels to help mature the follicules/eggs.  Anyway, we will see.  

I liked the idea of taking it at night, so tonight I will take my first dosage.
